I have an general interest to once compete in these kind of competitions, not sure what division. I don’t think I can afford to prepare and enter one at this time. I’ve heard they’ve a giant drain to your wallet..

It was rough. I went under twice and was comatose for a few days. Eventually, I was transported back on a litter and taken to a Stateside hospital. And if the attachment to my first two roommates seems inexplicable to some, perhaps this will partly put it into perspective. As soon as they found out, they immediately dropped what they were doing, requested leaves of absences from their jobs (with the one even telling them to fire him if they had a problem with it), quickly packed a few things, and drove all night to be there. I remember waking up one morning and having an orderly ask me if I knew two people who had asked to see me. So I was uncontrollably excited when he gave me their names, then freaked out when he told me that he had told them it wasn’t visiting hours, and I panicked, thinking they were going back and I wouldn’t get to see them, so I tried getting out of my bed to get to a phone so I could call them with this orderly and a nurse holding me down until the nurse told me they were getting a hotel room and were coming back during visiting hours. I feel asleep again, and they were there when I woke up. They looked like zombies… disheveled, haggard. She at least had gotten some sleep at the hotel, but he refused to because he was afraid they’d both end up oversleeping. At that moment, they were the two most beautiful people I’d ever seen in my life. I think my one roommate still blames himself, though. He was an infantryman in the Army and had been part of the initial pushes into Afghanistan and Iraq. I know he wishes he had tried to talk me out of it… he says as much.

I thought life would just proceed as normal, but I was very much wrong about that. I developed PTSD issues which still affect me, I sometimes get real bad nightmares unless I actually have contact with somebody, so the Amish girl used to share a room with me and just keep her hand on my back, and now someone else who I pretty much spend most of my free time with anyhow tends to stay the night here. So I sleep soundly at night on account of that. It affected me in a lot of other ways. I became less demure than I had been before. And a lot of other changes.

To anyone that doesn't know, Rumspringa is a period where the Amish Teenagers drop their vows and just go wild. They go out and they drink, get hooked on drugs, have sex, and just party. Most of them come back, but not all of them.

I know vaguely what a Mennonite is. But i don't know that.
Some Mennonite sects do it, but I get the impression the majority do not. Many are pretty well integrated with the English world to the point where Rumspringa is pointless. Mine does Rumspringa, but I chose to stay in school rather than partake in it. My sister wanted to spend hers with me (and has been here since, though she huffed and puffed a little at first when I placed on her the condition that she would enrolled in school and see it through if she were to stay here with me).

The Mennonites, Amish, Hutterites, Schwarzenau Brethren, and - albeit a little more distantly - Apostolics are related to each other in that their origins come from the same general area of Europe and that they were borne of the Radical Reformation of the 16th Century which followed on the heels of the Protestant reformation.

I always wanted to fly a helicopter, and I thought the Army could be a pathway to that. Getting blown up and discharged afterwards put a damper on that plan.

Retail, office work, kids parties at a gymnastics hall, data entry, factory work, selling lingerie and gowns to strippers I worked with, and recently I started my own boho jewellery business (also my vanilla cover). I started stripping to get my degree, but one I was more of a Ps get degrees student, in Environmental Science which was apparently the flavour of the month when myself and my classmates did it, plus I wanted to be a Park Ranger/ Environmental Scientist (jobs at the Graduate level I now know are dependant on Government funding by whatever political party is in office. Generally speaking, a more left-leaning government is going to direct Government funding to the Environment. We've had a right wing government since 2013 and I graduated in 2015. Basically the graduates were just fighting for scraps, and anything that did come up was in regional SA or interstate. I didn't want to leave my family / friends/ bf at the time so I never ended up getting any grad postition

Yeah, in ages past i was working at a Gas Station and this white Van came in. This dude came walking in with this great big beard and his family followed behind him. They looked like they were from Mars or something. But they weren't, they were Mennonites. And i had ZERO experience with Mennonites. They were dressed really old style. He was a nice guy, and his daughters giggled whenever i said anything to them. They were both staring at me in a method ANYONE would know. They were undressing me with their eyes. They bought some gas, made sure and said goodbye, the two daughters giggled again and then they took off.

At the time, it was pretty surreal. I think i was probably seventeen or eighteen.

The vanilla jobs I have had? Well got my first job ever in 2011 at a art museum as a front desk attendant. It was a super easy & enjoyable job. After that well lets see.

I can relate 100%. I keep fucking up because of my attendance and got fired from almost every job I ever held. I have a huge problem with falling asleep by a certain time aka a bedtime & then I tend to over sleep once I’m finally able to go to sleep AND on top of all of that I don’t hear the multiple loud alarms I set, so combined with chronic illness is a recipe for disaster.

I want to get more qualifications & skills but even small certificates such as medical billing & coding can cost $10,000+. Sadly education is now for extreme profit in America. Which is stopping me from getting more qualifications & education and making it damn near out of reach for me to stop living paycheck to paycheck.

In order to become a Pro you need to qualify through several levels, first regionally and then finally nationally trough certain qualifying shows. When you get your Pro card, you’re invited to compete in the IFBB, the top league, which is also open for international competition. There are no guarantee for sponsors, but the Pro title will make it easier. On the other side, it’s even more expensive to compete, first you have to pay an annual fee of appx 1100$ just to be allowed to compete etc etc. A Pro suit can easily cost you 6-7-800$, or even more

I've worked as an actress, a production assistant, promo model, had a short stint in advertising, head shop manager, server, and grocery shopper. Danced for 15 years.

Wellness is very interesting, you got my best wishes for turning Pro!

Yeah, what a disaster for the industry, I'm afraid this one is going to be really bad. After I got my business running I haven't been actively on the market for a pilot job, I have a pretty good life now and have kind of settled down so to speak. I enjoy leisure flying as one of my hobbies.
Cool! I have my PPL, IR and CPL. I fly some for work, though the insurance company makes me have a co-pilot when I do so. I do fly my plane solo as a hobby. No desire to fly for the airlines.

Christ I've had some weird jobs. Weirdest of all was doing autopsies, and believe me I didn't really want the job

But a man's gotta eat and have a roof over his head. I did learn a lot, and not just about anatomy. It was only 6 months, but made a lasting impression.

Toss up for worst was working in a law school library, and being a quasi pimp in a quasi whorehouse. Every fucking night guys wanted to fight, sometimes in groups of 3-4-5 or even more. Fucking insane.

Most community colleges offer this training. Hard to believe that high cost. I've had exposure to medical coding and I know some rudimentary medical training is necessary. I hope you find some training. Healthcare is big business and is expanding.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.
