Default Panic Button App for Android

Does anyone have actual experience with a panic button app that works? My sister installed a panic button app on her phone and tested it to see if would work and absolutely nothing happened. I've been Googling panic apps and reading reviews, but they don't work or have bad reviews. Thanks in advance.

Most apps do not work. They advertise it, but most of the time they never do anything.

Can’t you just use the built in panic function on your phone rather than download another unnecessary app?

    There's a built-in panic function on my phone?! Umm...I didn't know that. Thanks, I'll take a look.

She said she's asking for her sister.

It is probably a way for the Chinese to steal your credit card and bank account numbers.

Someone posted on reddit that the Emergency Contact shortcut on Smartphones is helpful if you're incapacitated in an accident & first responders need your info but you physically cannot give it to them.

She can also buy a personal alarm. Maybe something like this:

I think it's good to have something besides your phone, because if your phone battery runs low or dies, the panic button is useless.
