WWW (non-political) leaving US during the fall, possible destinations?

Im tired of my town, and sick of current events. I'm considering just buying a ticket anyplace and coming back after election drama settles down

I have a bit of money saved up and some frequent flyer miles. So I can afford to be gone for a couple months at least. I hve some income from remote work, just need a solid wifi and I can continue to pick up $

Looking for ideas on places are still letting Americans in? I'm traveling alone or possibly with 1 other person. I dont mind if it requires a 14-day quarantine on arrival.

Considered Ireland or the UK, but there probably other good options Im overlooking.

Very few places are allowing non-essential travel and with a second wave coming on, rules are subject to change at a moment's notice. No matter what the rules are now, any place you go might decide to change the rules once you are already there.

Some places are allowing travel but require a 14 day quarantine. Some require that you present proof of a negative COVID test, others require that you pay for such a test upon arrival.

There are some options, but it's hard to say what the next few weeks/months will bring:

Ireland probably your best bet. You can enter and make sure you've arranged with your host that you'll take walks outside and stay alone or with your travel partner. I'd still take a test and have the negative results in my pocket, wear a mask assiduously when near others for both your sake and to let others know you're concerned about their welfare.

Wicklow Mountains isn't far from Dublin, but from what I hear (I haven't traveled since March) it isn't that same fun city. If you could convince someone to let you a cabin near Wicklow you'd have a great outdoor vacation and a chance to decompress or wait out the madness

Here's a list of all countries open to US travelers and countries open with restrictions:

Actually this is exactly what I am doing, I am leaving for three months to a country that allows us in.
