I want to date Sara.

I wonder how likely it is to get trichinosis from wild hog meat. I don't favor pork so the issue has never come up in my life.
(Man I wish someone would gift me some venison sausage this season. Please oh please.)
Just gotta cook it well enough. I'd thought about that myself, but it turns out it's no more likely than if you buy it in a store.

We have guns in Texas. You can buy one when you get here.
You may notice Sara doesn't bother with a gun, she uses a knife.
"Sara Flanagan is not your traditional Texas hog hunter. She weighs 110 pounds, measures 5 feet 4 inches tall, and describes herself as a true "girly-girl." But don't let that fool you. This 23-year-old Oklahoma native hunts feral hogs with the best of them, tracking pigs across the countryside with a pack of hounds and a sharpened bowie knife."
"Anybody has the ability to go out there and shoot a gun," Flanagan said. "I think it takes more guts to be able to get on the back of a hog and have that interaction. And to me, there's more satisfaction that it's you versus the hog. It's more of a fair game…and I think it's more challenging."

Not uncommon. They destroy everything they touch. I don't mind pigs, but when they are out in the wild they go feral really quick. Like WEEKS quick.

When I was in Hawaii wild boars would get into my garden and fuck everything up. I made a trap and caught one. I was out of town but my friend roasted it. People do this all the time there ( no, no sickness from them at least from what I have heard ). They are serious pests and will eat all your hard work gardening.
They also dig around the base of trees ( I think to look for grubs or small animals ) and mess that up too. They can knock over new ( expensive ) fruit trees digging and doing whatever the fuck they do.

^ I’d use a gun too if I had a lot of land. The area they caused me problems was too densely populated to shoot them which is why some of us would trap them to protect our work trying to grow our own food.
You can usually go onto someone elses land to shoot hogs. They're usually happy to let you do it because the Hogs are driving them crazy. At least here. Just gotta go ask them. Hell, we had one farmer that JOINED us.
