Default Anyone have any experience with Spirit Dental?

As an affordable dental plan for their personal individual plans? I'm searching for dental plans that have no waiting periods.

I use Ameritas. I think they were previously Spirit.
    Liking the plan.
The hygienist at my dentist has it too.

The longer you're with them , certain things get better.

    I also have Dental Select.

So basically if I sign up with them , all I'd have to pay is whatever fee at sign up then the monthy fee? Then at dental office I'd pay 50% of my fillings? It said basic fillings & I'm wondering if those are the nasty silver ones? Yuck

Idk all that, you'd have to contact their customer service, +whatever dentist you use, they charge different.
Sometimes theres a small co pay, depending.

Check out Dental Select if you want.

It's different for me, I've had it a couple years, the cost for my fillings are 20%, not sure what type.

If you're able to get porcelain fillings instead of silver, they're much better and less toxic.

No comment on Spirit Dental as I usually just pay out of pocket but if you need filling, go for gold. Not a lot of dentists do gold but it's absolutely worth it. Porcelain is okay, but can shatter if you're a grinder. Never get silver.

Dental work is one of those things you don't want to cheap on. For things beyond a light filling, go get the very best dentist you can even if it means paying some out of pocket.

Ya I think I pill pass on having gold fillings in my mouth. I'd rather go with tooth colored bc thats what I currently have.

    Gold is usually more expensive.

When I had a filling in the front, on a visible surface, my dentist used a color to match my tooth color.
    Which also was extra $.

Dentists charge different, but certain things are always going to cost extra
