Default New Club, Driving Distance & Learning The Pole?

Thinking of trying at a new club 28 to 30 minutes away and have a few questions. I am currently trying to lose the quarantine weight and get back to my old goal, which has been paying off very slowly.
With the weight going back to normal, I am curious how I could learn proper pole dancing. I have thought about signing up for pole dancing classes, but not sure if this is the best investment to learn.
I am not sure about having a pole in my room because I fear it will come crashing down or cause ceiling or wall damage. What is the best way to learn? I have dance heels from my last club, but all I know is how to twirl around.
Also wanted to know if driving a little under 30 minutes away is too far for a club? I chose this club because they are new and smoke free.

    A 30 minute commute isn't bad.

I say yes on the pole dance lessons, as you can learn safer ways to do certain tricks. Plus proper stretching and form.

    Definitely update!

That's really not bad for a commute given how few clubs are in some areas. Mine are 30-45 min commutes each, one of them dependent on traffic... I try to maximize the shift so I go in fewer days too.

30 mins isn't too bad. My furtherest commute was about an hour, and that was tough to do on a daily basis. Pole dancing classes aren't a necessity, but if you want to do it for fun and to feel confident on stage, then it's worth doing. It will help you get some of the basics down.

Thank you so much for all the advice, it was incredibly helpful! ^^
There are amazing clubs an hour away, but I can imagine I would die from aching knees and feet driving back. Going to try at this club, hopefully can get an audition!

I don't think 30 minutes is bad as long as you don't hit traffic often. 30 minutes could be easy drive if rarely is traffic but if you hit traffic a lot different story.

My longest commute without traveling was about 45 minutes and super worth it, and I liked living further, it was wayy easier to tell if someone followed me and easier to lie about where I was from. As for pole, I learned everything in the club from other girls, but lessons would be safer! I wouldn't recommend getting your own pole until your have some basics down enough that you can do it safely on your own tho. Good luck!

Check out YouTube. I’ve been doing pole dancing for 12 years now, and honestly, a good majority of what I have learned and developed just isn’t going to translate to anything you’ll see on the stage of a strip club. If you have a pole, you could probably fond what you need to get started on there. If you can have some of the basics down before attending a pole class, it’ll help a lot.

30 minutes isn’t bad. That’s about what my commute was.

I guess the commute depends on your earnings potential. If there is good money, I would drive an hour or so to get it!
I danced for like 15 years on and off and never learned how to pole dance. I still stayed in good shape and made stage tips doing floor work, forming relationships with club regs, talking to people at the stage and focusing on selling dances. I would not invest in lessons unless you really want to do it for exercise reasons. I don't think it makes a difference in club earnings if you just move sensually and know how to seduce with your eyes and personality.

Yep I would do 1.5 hour drives or drive 3 hours to vegas back in the day when money was worth it ($2,000-ish each night) or if I got bored of the same club. But if money slowed down, I worked local. Lol I learned pole first with pole classes and then learned from youtube how to do moves with pole at home (but the more difficult moves I learned at home because I'm a cheapskate)...I've had the pole come crashing down to the floor with me upside down on it a few times. Thank god for carpet then LOL! One time I was recording it on camera and it was hilarious (but not at the time). HAHA.

I've gone as far as 80 minutes but I was able to crash that night at a friends. Even 80 minutes wasn't horrible because it was mostly just highway and no bad traffic. I think you just need to factor in before & after times and figure out if it's worth the income.
