    Default Botox - brow placement

For those who have botox in the brow area - do you have the entire brow or just the lateral area done, and how do the results compare?

I know doing just the outer brow can give the eyebrows a nice arch/lift, but could also create more creases there as the brows lift.

I had botox for the first time a couple of weeks ago and wanted my brow smooth all over, so did the entire area.

I'm happy with the result but I think my brows might be very slightly flattened out and am thinking of trying just the outer brow next time.

I definitely don't want to do that if it will accentuate creases there though. My injector said that can happen - wondering if anyone has any personal experience with it?

So if you aren’t actively doing damage to your skin( no spf, smoking, drinking heavily) you should require less and less Botox as time goes on. I get less and less each time and in different areas, so I do around my eyes mostly one time and then in 3 more months mostly just the brow.

You and your injector don’t have much knowledge of what will happen to you personally till you see the effects and how the effects wear off. Unless someone is obviously unqualified I think it is better to stay with the same person for at least a couple of cycles. Over injection in any area will change your whole face.

If they did a moderate amount covering the forehead seems like the best first visit plan but you shouldn’t plan on doing that every time unless that is the loo k you are into.

^Thankyou, that makes a lot of sense. I was already actually thinking of 'cycling' different areas of my face and leaving longer between visits sometimes as I just want a subtle freshened-up look and to prevent lines worsening, which is exactly what I've got.

I told him I was scared of looking overly 'done' at my consult and he was very honest about the results I could expect (he actually thought I didn't need botox yet and said it wouldn't be a drastic improvement). I'm loving it so far and will go back to him. He is a dentist who specializes in aesthetics and he trains other practitioners so he knows his stuff.

Did you end up having your brow area done? Did it give them a noticeable lift? Desperately want to figure out a way to get a bit of a brow/lid lift that’s non-surgical (I have heavily hooded eyes/low set brows and always have).

^I didn't get a noticeable lift, really. I think he only did a small amount there, probably as it was my first time. I was scared of doing too much beforehand but would've actually liked just a bit more of a 'frozen' effect, LOL.

When I go back I will ask for a bit more in that area. The crows feet and jowl areas I was happy with.

I do a botox lift on the outer area. I don't wanna go full blown where I walk around with brows that look like I'm scared if they're lifted with botox any closer. LOL.

Damn I like to get my face frozen. Yeah the brow lift is awesome. Google Asthetics medical training. I get cheap Botox when they come into town. Always looks great. Although it seems to wear of a bit quicker than if I go to my dr, but it’s cheaper.

And do you notice any new creases where you have the lifting effect?
I've noticed it a bit with my forehead, when I raise my brows now there is a bit of creasing in a new place, although the original lines are almost 'frozen'.
I guess this is how ppl end up overdoing it and getting everywhere done?

Ugh maybe I just save for a full browlift then. I prefer surgery that lasts indefinitely over procedures that need topping up.

I have been wanting to get it done as well for my hooded eyes & to raise my brow area. How will I know if i'm allergic to it? I guess thats what I'm afraid of. I''d love to look 10 years younger or more if possible despit me already having a baby face. How much does it cost?

^I think being allergic to botox is really rare. I'm sensitive to a lot of stuff but have had no issues.

Cost - it varies a lot, from what I've seen. I paid £250 for 3 areas which isn't expensive (he undercharged me and actually charged less than his usual price for 2 areas).

Some places run monthly specials on certain days. I've been doing botox for preservation since I was 19. I don't have to use as much. I post my age as 25 for ads and it was hilarious how some guy was so excited I wrote 24. Another guy chimed in laughing and said try 30. She's been around for years! lol. I'm 31.

I do jaw botox (slims the jaw and helps with tmj), eyebrow lift, forehead and that's all I need. Don't have any creasing...one place I went to gave me too much botox and caused droopy eyelids years ago. I was pissed.
