Default Filing for FASFA as a dancer

Okay, so I’m about to file for FASFA at my university for financial aid. Is there anything different to do as a stripper? Will your aid be affected, or do we even have to put it down on the application?

It uses your tax returns so if you've claimed dancer income, it will count.

say what you say on your taxes, that you're a self employed dancer/entertainer. you'll be required to upload them anyways. if you dont have taxes from the last year or two you'd probably have to file. you can get on a deferred payment plan.

They only care about what’s on your tax form. If you didn’t do your taxes- I’m not suggesting not to, but if you didn’t and there’s no paper trail then just say zero on the application. No one at the financial aid office will notice or care.

According to the IRS, for the 2018/19 school year, 22% of FAFSA filers are selected for income tax verification. All those were selected from applicants who did not use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool. (DRT). Among those who did use the DRT, none were selected for verification.
