I found O'Hare to be a very dingy place when I passed through it years ago, so good on him for being able to mentally handle being in there for 3 months.

Weird story.

Wondering if the guy needs mental health treatment because he had an apartment to go to but instead hid out there. Who would do that and live that kind of miserable existence unless they had some sort of mental issue.

The last time I flew, (quite a while ago) I chose to fly out of Midway Airport, simply for the ease of getting a flight (then) , & not so crowded, even tho O'Scare was much closer.

Was he in the secured area or the sterile area, or did he somehow transition between the two? Sterile area is the area of the terminal and concourses after the TSA screening points. Secured area is the interior of the airport excluding the sterile area.

Something’s really weird about this. It says passengers were giving him food, implying he was in a sterile area, yet airline employees challenged him, which would happen in the secure area. A badge alone wouldn’t get you into the secure area… there’ll be a PIN, biometrics, or both attached to it. Kinda frustrated with the lack of detail here.

They're spending billions of dollars to renovate O'Hare, so hopefully this won't be the case in a few years.
