I'm curious if there will be a huge boom / prolonged comeback, or if many guys will have transitioned to online entertainment. I think the former is most likely... there is no replacing real, human contact and visuals. I know that a lot of dancers have temporarily transitioned to camming and similar, but IME camming cannot come close to a dancing income for the vast majority of workers.. when i cammed briefly, i was appalled by the site's cut, plus taxes. Dancing pays off bigtime for many of us. There are downsides in every line of work, of course, that aren't worth it for everybody.

I mean it depends on the city and club. NYC is reopening for indoor dining feb 14 so the big clubs with kitchens can open. Some clubs are not allowing dances on the floor, only VIP rooms.

I've been doing private parties and CHarlie is correct. I appreciate stripping so much more now. I think it really just depends on the state. Wv is open like business as usual..Baltimore MD has been open the whole time. I'm assuming as usual. So it just depends on the state and laws.

Since the 80s lapdances have been industry standard $20. If we calculate 1985 inflation to today, that same lapdance really should be $49 dollars. That's 144% devaluation of the same exact dollar. Nothing like the federal reserve printing dollars into oblivion, but I digress.
I sure as hell hope lapdances never come back. If they do, they should be at least 50 bucks. At most clubs I've seen, theres only $150 dollars for 15 minute vip options. 600 for an hour respectively. I think many clubs may forgo typical lapdances in favor of higher prices.

^I hear you. It's a complicated issue! I think undercutting would become a major problem if standard dances were priced at $50 without cheaper options or tiers. Most guys would go to different clubs that choose to charge $20, assuming we're comparing two similar clubs with similar dancer options, etc. But that's a more complicated issue, and i don't want to threadjack!
