My cousin is in her 30s, got her second shot over the weekend. She got a little achy, slept a lot and woke up the next day feeling awesome. I get my second in a week and a half, really looking forward to being on the other side of this!
My mom has had long Covid symptoms for almost a year, really suffering with this crap. No energy, can't taste or smell food still. She said the fact that she can't even enjoy food takes a lot of the joy out of life. She got her first shot last week, had no effect but a slightly sore muscle.
I saw several news articles that are saying the vaccination is actually helping folks who have lingering covid symptoms by helping their immune system kick out the last of the virus from their body. Really hoping my mom has the same result.
Here are a couple of reports I saw:

I just read that the Pfizer one helps with way lower transmission levels if you catch it after getting vaccinated. That's the one I wanna get.

Sorry your mom is still unwell. It’s so tragic. My friend has long haulers. It’s awful!
lol...so surreal talking about what brand vaccine we want...LOL.
I’m grateful to be part of the solution instead of the problem. I’m feeling blessed. There’s people dying right now who wish more than anything they could get a vaccine. I feel somewhat guilty, but survivors guilt won’t help anyone. I just need to do my part.

Focus more on what you want than on what you don’t want
I also got mine and so far I never get any side effect. Hope things back to Normal.

Had my second shot Friday (Pfizer) around 2 pm. Prepared to take the weekend off, food prepared in advance, water and ibuprofen by my bed, etc. No effect noticed at all until about 10 pm I started getting a sore arm. (Felt like soreness just in the bicep muscle like after a hard gym workout). I was up late, till around 3 am and the soreness kept getting a tad worse every hour. When I went to bed I did notice it wasn't bad enough to keep me from sleeping on the side with the sore arm though.
Next morning when I woke up the soreness was completely gone. I had a friend who said she didn't get achy and feverish until the second day so I didn't make any plans, kept expecting to have some yukky feelings. Nothing Saturday or Sunday and it is now Monday so looks like I got through it with just a bit of muscle soreness just in that arm.
So glad to be on the other side of this now. 14 more days and I'm heading to the movies! Have missed that popcorn!
Had my first shot on a work break yesterday. Went right back to hoeing after it was done. Was really pleased with how efficient and friendly the staff were. Really makes a difference.
I feel like I got my shot higher up then others, it’s basically at my bottom shoulder. Felt injection soreness immediately and still do today but no other side effects. I have a pretty bad shellfish allergy so I had to be observed for 30 minutes. Felt like a lot longer when I saw all the people leaving right away. I was nervous about my throat closing up so I am way more at ease now. The doctor who was there for questions said it would be unlikely if I had no reaction to the first one that I would with the second shot, even with other side effects being amplified on the 2nd.

I got my second Pfizer shot on Tuesday. Was very sick the next day. I had bad chills on Tuesday night, and on Wednesday had a very bad headache, felt very fatigued, was nauseous, and my arm was very sore. I just spend the day lying in bed. On Thursday I felt much better. Still had a slight headache and was a bit nauseous. Today the headache is gone and I'm just a little bit nauseous. Hopefully that will be gone too, tomorrow.
I strongly suggest not planning on going to work the day after your second shot, and not making any plans to do anything. The nurse that gave me the shot said I shouldn't expect any side effects for 6 - 12 hours, and she was right about that. I was fine until Tuesday night, so you probably don't have to worry about being able to drive back home after getting your shot. I had a two hour drive and didn't have any problems.
First shot on Sunday at the airport! I was going to drive 2+ hours away, but lucked out on a closer and sooner appointment. Pfizer.

It's recommended that you wait 15 minutes after getting your shot before driving back, just to make sure you don't have a bad reaction. They'll probably tell that to you when you get your shot. Did you schedule your second shot? For Pfizer, it's recommended you get your second shot three weeks after your first. Good luck!

I got my 2nd Pfizer on Tuesday. That night, my body was cooking while I slept. Had a bit of a headache. Three days later, about a few hours ago... I threw up two times. My stomach is still rumbling. >_<

Ok. My mistake. I got food poisoning. My sister who isn't vaxed yet had the same reaction on something we both ate. But yeah. Definitely have the ginger ale near by and make sure to drink lots of water after getting vaxed.
Yay, got 2nd dose and chugging water. I also made sure to work out, shower, and clean my room before getting vaccinated. At least if I feel like shit later I'll be clean and comfy otherwise. Bought myself some roses too. Now kiddo needs to get his shots and I'll feel a lot calmer.
Update: It's only been about 19 hours since my 2nd shot, but other than the sore arm, I feel fine. So far it has been easier for me this time around than last time. Still resting and taking it easy today though, because I am aware that my body is doing a lot of work rn.

The university my son's attending this fall is requiring the vaccine, so we both got dose one of the Pfizer shot today.

First Pfizer shot done! Was super impressed by the process- extremely efficient, wow! I started crying during my appointment...i got weirdly emotional. It made it real for the first time, showing up to a mass vaccination site. Just really grateful that I've been living in this privileged, protected bubble throughout the whole pandemic.
