I got my second Moderna last Thursday. It honestly was about the same as the first - sore arm for a few days and some tiredness for a couple days. Not so bad, and now I get to go back to work without being super worried.

It's pathetic that when a person on Facebook feels good about having gotten their vaccine (and makes a post), there's always some prick in the comments section making fun of them for being a "Good sheep." *Sigh* What's funny is that they're some of the same ones who smoke X packs of cancer sticks on a daily basis, but got sooo much shit to talk about the vaccinated people "putting that shit in their bodies." Huh? Lol.

Don't forget, it takes about two weeks after the second shot to build up the antibodies.

Oh I know. I haven't gone back yet but am hopefully going today. I've almost reached peak protection by now.

Also people who drink and do drugs. It's like, you put literal poison in your body and you're outspoken about a vaccine? I know a girl who was talking crap about the vaccines who does coke. It's like honey you're literally putting a substance cut with a bunch of unknown substances up your nose, shut up about vaccines lol.

Getting my Covid shot come my next appointment, but during a Family brunch had to listen to an overbearing smoker give their unsolicited advice about how the vaccine will cause cancer. Oh the irony...

Oh those are the worst! I remember one girl I worked with wouldn't drink iced tea because it caus d cancer, according to her...but she smoked a lot. The irony! They really are that dumb.

Day after my second Pfizer shot. I'm sick, and I'm happy to be sick! I took the day off of my vanilla job. Happy to be done waiting. Intense muscle aches / soreness (probably doesn't help that i lifted on Saturday), joint pain, headache, fever, fatigue, just generally feeling like hot garbage. Not nauseous, but i definitely don't feel like eating.

I hope you're feeling better. I've heard ickiness doesn't last long. By tomorrow you should feel better based on what I've heard.

My son just got his first Pfizer shot and I am so relieved. He feels fine. His 2nd shot is June 11 which is great BC they are opening up around here on the 15th. Mama is relieved.

Hope you feel better soon! I had the same things, and I was fine after 2 or 3 days.

You were right! I spent all day in bed with a fever, but after this last 2-3-hour nap, i woke up feeling a million times better. My fever finally broke, and you know how good it feels when you come out of the other side of a fever! I will definitely be back to work tomorrow.

Second shot of moderna about 14 hours ago. Injection arm is sore. I have a headache and my whole body kind of feels like restless leg syndrome. I think I’ll take some aspirin and be fine. It’s a pretty mild reaction so far.

I think you want Tylenol not aspirin. Aspirin thins your blood. Probably will be fine though

Yes, it was ibuprofen. Aspirin is my catch all term for otc pain killers. Good call though.

I moved on to lots of sleep, hot showers, hot tea, water, water, and more water so I don't upset my stomach with too many pain killers. Fingers crossed tomorrow I emerge as a butterfly.

^ Ya for whatever reason the nurse lady told me to take Tylenol instead of ibuprophen, I have no idea why bc Tylenol doesn't affect me & give me much relief like Ibuprophen does.

I read that online too. Ibuprofen was what I had and I don't think it caused any problems, but if you're stocking up then Tylenol seems to be where it's at.

Today I'm a little congested, but other than that I'm back to normal health. I slept in until 8:00 today and I'm going to make some clips instead of camming.

I don't think i saw that on the CDC's site. I experienced every side effect, lol, but no congestion.

Side note, if you hate congestion and like keeping things clear, but neti pots are too wimpy for you, check out the Navage. It actually pulls the water through. The only downside is that you have to keep buying the salt pods, but they aren't too pricey in bulk. Probably seems silly, but i love mine, lol. Self-care junkie here.

I don't know if it was the shot. I slept with the air on 60 degrees farenheit all night because I was burning up. I think the air conditioner blows dirty air and dust all night, so that might be why. I didn't have any congestion yesterday.

Although also today I have a giant swollen lymph node under my collar bone and my injection arm has inflammation. It looks like a big muscle and a puffy red spot where the needle went in. I feel like I'm going to have little weird things popping up for a while.

Also hard to tell if it's congestion from the shot or congestion from laying in bed all day, haha! Or allergies, dry air, etc. And your mind messes with you when you're hyperfocused on, and concerned about, side effects...I think we have all experienced psychogenic ailments in our lives.

I use a product called Alkalol as a nasal spray, keeps the sinuses clear without drying them out in the arid climate I live in, due to the essential oils.

I've heard of nasal oils. They're usually just like expensive sesame oil, right?
