    Default Keep getting rejected...previous dancer

    Hi all,

I work in the Chicagoland area. I worked at a Gentleman's club prior to covid. I went to re-audition this past weekend and I was not hired. I was shocked along with my friends. I also tried another place and was not hired! I have asked tons of my friends at the club and at other clubs what I can do to avoid being sent home. I am not sure what to do. I obviously wore my 8 inch clear pleasers and a nice short sexy dress, hair down. I do have more tattoos that when I was previously there last and was considering covering them moving forward. Could that be it? I am 5'1'' and 110 pounds, skinny and toned, 32DD, decent butt that fits my body, blonde hair. Does anyone have pointers? I feel like I am going crazy as to why I was rejected from both clubs. I asked the house mom at my original club and said she would talk to the manager. I haven't heard back from her. I also asked the house mom at the other place and she said she wasn't sure because she doesn't get any information. Any insight would be helpful.

    Thanks
    Summer

My experience is when a club does not hire an obviously attractive girl, like you, is they are just not busy enough to justify another dancer on the rotation. My impression of Chicago is it's still pretty closed down, so the clubs aren't doing as much business. The opposite is true in Indianapolis where things are much more open and the clubs are busier.

Thanks so much! Do you recommend waiting to try other clubs then? For some reason I am extremely anxious now that I won't get hired at the other clubs. Another dancer at my former club said they keep track of who is hired and who isn't and to not audition there again. That doesn't sound right.

^ I doubt a big city club has time for all that tracking. Even if you get the same audition manager again, there’s a chance you won’t even be remembered.

I’d just keep trying out more Chicago area clubs that sound reasonable enough to work at.

I am going to audition at two other places first before I reaudition at the one I used to work at. I agree that it also sounds crazy. They definitely will remember me though. The house moms know me very well, which also makes it super weird. I am hoping the house mom talked to the hiring manager like she said she would. Thank you!

Definitely try other clubs. No need to be anxious, this is a numbers game. The more places you audition, the more likely you are to be hired. Also, look beyond Chicago.

As far as tracking goes, I don't believe it. I was hired three times by the same club, and fired twice, by them for the same reason, I was under age. They didn't check when they hired me.

I had a little bigger ass than most but I was in shape so idk, oh and heavenly bodies, so weird they never hire me either in great shape

I haven't been hired at admiral either. I last tried two years ago so I may try again. I am going to try more clubs. I always heard terrible things about HB so I am unsure if I will try there. I am also worried about 390 because I have not heard good things from other dancers. I hadn't considered atlantis! I will have to take a look. I am hoping it works out for PKs. Thanks so much!

You would do good at Atlantis! I miss that place! And yea 390 is super boring any day but Saturday or at least it was when I was there a few years ago. I was only willing to try HB cause I was living close to it at the time but it did seem weird… do the clubs seem busy when u go? I’ve not been back to the club yet and am wondering if business is worse or what since this pandemic

Both clubs I went to were absolutely dead. I went on a Friday and Saturday around 10. I am friends with some staff that have said the vibe has been different since being back

Did you wear that underwear to the audition? Maybe it looks too much like regular underwear and not stripper-y enough? Idk. If you've had the exact same outfit previously in the exact same club it really shouldn't be an outfit problem though.

Ava: I bet HB wanted you to be a shot girl first/try you out as a shot girl. They will act like being a dancer is such an important decision and they can't be sure blah blah blah but if you sell dances as a shot girl, they will offer for you to become a dancer. OP, if you try HBs for any reason and they reject you, see if you can work as a shot girl. It is stripper school though, and if they still operate like they do when I worked there, getting hired shouldn't be difficult.

I'm in Chicago and just had a similar experience. I worked at VIP's (downtown/fancy Lincoln Park area) for 2 years, then Rick's bought it. I wanted to start with Rick's now. So, it's new management, yes, but I imagine it still caters to the same quality niche and has similarly high-end standards. I just got turned away after auditioning last weekend and posted about it on the newbie board. I got a dm from a guy who owns clubs in the South with and he had some useful insights. He made a very interesting point worth thinking about: because of the pandemic, lots of clubs closed, and some closed permanently or aren't open again yet. The ones that survived and are open now (i.e. those clubs we auditioned at) get to have their pick of the surplus of hot girls who are all competing for a small number of available spots in the few clubs open right now (including fewer options for destination strip trips). AKA the supply of hot girls remained constant, but the demand/club spots went down, so clubs are pickier than usual. I'm haunted by his phrasing: "as everyone is coming back to audition now, why would I hire a 7 or an 8 if I had plenty 9s to choose from for my club?" While I'm still bummed and frustrated to be turned away as an 8, I really do think the economic factors are at hand here.

That person privately messaged me too, harassing me. I would not take stock in what they say. The comments were completely inappropriate and not helpful. I went ahead and blocked. It was like this guy just wanted to message people saying they're ugly. Plus, what even is a 7, 8, or 9? Everyone has different traits and if you fit in the general societal accepted attractiveness level, I don't think it's an issue. My previous club has hired women who are probably considered below average, and they work out just fine. Chicago is not a club city really. It's been extremely slow since the pandemic. A lot of my friends weren't hired back either. I am working at another club for now but will try my original club back in about a month.

Yep I wore this outfit, which oddly made me a ton of money in my original club which is the reason I chose it. I do agree it looks a lot like regular underwear because it is haha. I went with a traditional stripper outfit at the other club though. I have staff that are friends who just said to come back on another night. I am working somewhere else now but would like to be back at my original club. I'll probably try again in a month.
