    Have you tried Fels-Napa soap? It's sold in bar form, wherever laundry soap's sold. Works great on stains

    I'd soak the surface in cold water and pour onto powdered detergent to soak up the stain and repeat the process til the stain is gone.

    I stained the fine Italian leather a couple times.

    Much easier clean up than fabric
