    Crossfingers Venus Med-Spa?

So, I see one of these popped up by my hair salon, (they're a chain) they do injectables, face peels, lasers, etc.

Was thinking of getting a face peel done, the one I was looking at:

Pigment balancing peel, has alpha hydroxy, vitamin c for lines, pigmentation, laxity. $145.00, 1st timers get $50.00 off.

    Anyone tried this?

    Thank you!

Honestly sounds really expensive for a simple AHA peel and some vitamin C as a one-time treatment, idk. I remember you saying funds were tight.

I'd say if you're set on doing something, buy a peel that you can use multiple times (Paula's Choice recently came out with a wash-off stronger peel) and some vitamin c serum, you'll save like $100+.

One-time treatments are kind of a ripoff unless you're getting something dramatic done, like laser, injectables, collagen induction...

You're welcome. I TOTALLY understand the feeling you're describing, where you'll kind of pay anything for a boost in appearance. Our daily habits will always have a much bigger impact than any one-time treatments. Daily habits are way less fun and require more work, but i think you'll see more benefit from focusing on daily skincare, diet, and stress management. Paying $100 + tip for a single peel and some vitamin c will leave you feeling very temporarily better, but then you'll just be back in the same spot once the slight boost wears off. Daily steps in the long term is the way to go!

I'm really glad to hear that you're in a better place.

This is the one. There are tons of peels out there, but i tend to trust PC, and i feel like their prices are really fair:

A lot of people also swear by The Ordinary's glycolic peel.

I know waiting for stuff to ship and arrive sucks when you're looking for instant gratification! I totally understand why you'd want to get it done at a spa instead. And med spas can be great, it's just that one-time thing that makes me think your money is better spent on a product that you can use repeatedly as needed.

I've always wanted to try this one, as so many people swear by it! I think lactic acid is better for sensitive skin, and it's more of a hydrating acid.

I actually have a tiny, older sample of that, Ive used it too sporadically to say how it works, but yes I've heard great things about it!

So many skin care products out there!

    Thanks again, Charlie!
