    Default BO issues

Hey y'all! Can anyone recommended a good deodorant? After working out i get so stinky. White vinegar in the laundry helps get rid of the smell in clothes, but do you guys know of anything else that could help? Thanks in advance.

Maybe try applying deodorant more often. Do you apply it right before you work out?

Lume! Works for everything, underarms, feet, even privates. I'm usually sensitive to anything harsh but no reaction to Lume. Also it's not antiperspirant so you still sweat, just don't get stinky. I love it so much.

I use the unscented so I can use it on delicate areas (outside parts only of course), and it doesn't smell great when you put it on but the scent fades to nothing and there is literally no stink for a full day or more. I was out doing yard work all day in the heat and humidity and I usually want to throw all my clothes directly in the washer because they reek after all that, but that stuff really works well for me. No smell at all today even though I was soaked all over with sweat.

Take a shower after working out, and then put on the deodorant after the shower. I love Old Spice Pure Sport deodorant. Also, some people can't use anti-perspirant (Years ago a doctor told me the rash on my armpits was due to me using anti-perspirant deodorant, and to stop using it), so if you're getting a rash on your armpits that could be why.

If you're not able to shower at that moment but there's a sink nearby, use the sink water and soap to do a brief scrub of your armpits. Lol. I've done this before while in a public bathroom. If you start keeping a small deodorant in your purse (Some stores have those little trial-size deodorants), you can start doing this while you're out and near a sink (Unable to be near your bathtub). Just remember to scrub your armpits with soap and water first before applying the deodorant. Don't put deodorant on stinky, unwashed armpits.

Trader Joe's has oversize body wipes, citrus scented, I use & like, if shower isn't available.

I've used them on my face, but for face I prefer Pacifica brand moisturizering (they have a few different types).

Im in filthy dusty storages, so..

For deo, I use a couple types, 1 is a patchouli scent I got from a health store, Fruitful Yield, Now Foods brand

Oh God, you should smell me after a walk-a brisk walk, but not on jogging level or anything! Scared my hubby when I tried to toss my workout leggings crotch-first at him. Bahahahaha!

I am wondering about Lume-does it smell bad or just not at all?

I will never again use that Tom's natural deodorant, because it just ain't strong enough for smelly armpits! Lol. That stuff was a total waste of money for me. I'm sticking with using Old Spice Pure Sport...I don't even care if it's something that mostly men use. Be sure to shave your armpits too, because body odor clings to body hair.

I'll usually take two showers a day, and the second one will either be after getting home off the bus (And being around people with their gross cigarette and weed smells), or getting home from karaoke night, or after I've finished lifting weights that night.

Once it dries there is zero smell. Out of the package it has a sort of sour soapy smell.

I don't like that smell but it doesn't last more than a few minutes till it dries, and I'll put up with it for the benefits of sweating like crazy in this heat and still odor-free head to toe. It's a bit expensive but it only takes a tiny amount to work. I ordered an underarm applicator full plus a tube of the unscented and it's lasted me 3 months with still 1/4 left, finally reordered this week.

I haven't tried the scented Lume because I don't like putting anything with added scents on my delicate skin areas.

I swear by these. I wouldn't sweat in a sauna when I am using these. The Dove clinical strength deodorant works almost as well.

As far as the smell though, I find that my sweat smells extra nasty when I have been ingesting things with caffeine. Like it smells gross to me like it's someone else's sweat.

I found this list of foods that can make you smell bad. Coffee is on the list. It says, "Caffeine stimulates your central nervous system, invariably causing your sweat glands to activate."

I had no idea that caffeine can make you stinky. Good thing I switched to decaf!

White vinegar in my laundry helped. And I bought some Dove deodorant that smells like cucumber melon. I smell great now!

There was this one club I worked at very briefly, for maybe 2 months when I was a new stripper and once several years later just for a few nights I think. Both times the housemom (same lady both times) pulled me aside my first night and told me that other strippers had complained to her about my BO.

First time I was super mortified, second time I was older and wiser and knew it was just some broad who felt threatened by me. It was a small club that entertainers tended to stay at for a looong time, so prob was the same person complaining both times. I get BO just like anyone else but I always put on deodorant before a shift and I def didn’t stink!

I'm sorry. I can see how that'd be mortifying.

When you put on deodorant before a shift, it's after you've briefly cleaned your underarms with soap and water, right? I'm seeing people talk about putting on deodorant, and just wanna make sure no one's forgetting to do the soap and water part first before deodorant. Just a super brief wash before putting on the deodorant. When I can smell my own armpit funk and I'm out somewhere like in Target, for example, I'll go into their bathroom and use the soap and water in there to scrub my armpits, and then pat them dry with a paper towel. If I actually kept my Old Spice Pure Sport deodorant in my purse (I should start doing that), I could be putting that on right after. And then maybe add a tiny sprinkle of powder too, if I start buying a travel size powder to keep in my purse. If I'm wearing a tank top, I won't have too much powder on my armpits (That will look crazy)...just a sprinkle.

I like (liquid) Mitchum. I'm told Degree works pretty well.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

BO is the smell of bacteria, so it made sense to use an antibacterial soap. I tried this once and it worked. Also any anti-perspirant deodorant works like a charm too. Use exfoliating gloves in the shower - they scrub nicely!

I used one of those CVS ExtraBucks coupon to get myself a mini Old Spice Swagger deodorant for free. Lol. I decided to start keeping that in my purse, so that when I'm out (Especially at karaoke night)...I can go into the ladies bathroom to do a quick armpit wash with soap and water...and then roll on some deodorant.
