Default Sex industry normalizing violence against women

I've been dancing for about a year and I also pole dance in my spare time because I like it.
In a pole lessons forum I came across this article
What are your thoughts? Especially for any of you that have been working for at least a few years.
Do you agree with the feminists in the comments section?
I always thought feminism was in support of women choosing what to do with our bodies.

I think non sex workers or non strippers will always be haters. The pseudo intellectual “feminist” are the worst!

I absolutely refuse to talk to a vanilla “feminist” about my work.

I think I’m more of an intersectional feminist. They are more sex worked friendly in my experience.

You can go pretty far down the rabbit hole with feminism. I would stay out political conversations with people that have no experience with our industry.

Most people’s opinions are bullshit. I rarely meet anyone that is interested in becoming enlightened. Most people just wanna project their bullshit “beliefs” onto others.

All a belief is a thought with a little bit of evidence. So all you need to do is refute it.

I would say men have historically been violently toward women since the beginning of time. I don’t think that has a damn bit to do with me and my work. If anything I’m safer at work than in previous romantic relationships. So to hell with those “feminist” think.

Violence against women has always been acceptable. Look at the stats, only 10% of reported rapes get investigated and out of that only 1% ever go to trial because harming women is okay. The police & society does all it can to protect violent men. Then look at how hard it is to get an order of protection against a man who is stalking, beating or threatening a woman. How many multiple murders are a present or ex male partner killing his victim & family members because she dared to leave a violent brutal predator? How many mass murders have a history of domestic violence.

It is only in the past 100 years that women can have jobs, bank accounts, own property & wealth, be allowed to vote. Divorce becoming more acceptable cut women being killed by in half.

All media & history has been stacked against women in general since the beginning. Yes, violence against sex workers is normalized. But finally due to our popularity, even though shady banning exist we can shout & be heard on social media. Politicians who speak out against us are having their time lines filled with sex workers & fans going against them.

Feminist are a small part of the problem and the hatred towards us or women in general is not new. Our fight is with society as a whole & not falling for pitting women against women bullshit. Feminist don't run the police stations, men do. 95% of cops are male. Women do not have Equal Protection under the law. Crimes against us largely goes un-investigated & unpunished. Most law makers aka elected officials are MEN, so feminist are not in control of making laws or policy.

Internet trolls are 80% more likely to be male. Can a woman post about sexual harassment, rape or other violence against us without 100 or more guys saying "not all men" trying to shut down our voices about such injustice.

So on target, Sam every word!

Hate to say it, but I mostly see rapes being normalized, swept under the rug

& Yes, I posted about how very few rapes even go to trial, let alone prosecuted..

I live in fear, despite being in a fairly safe area..

Read about a woman choked unconscious, nearly raped on a subway!
Also, a 'star' hs athelete set free when he clearly was guilty..read the news, there's many more, sadly, + the many we don't hear about!

Men are way too emboldened, entitled.

Some of the earliest forms of sex work were priestesses in ancient cultures. And if a man hurt them, the punishment was death. So, clearly, the idea that women are "inviting" violence against them by offering their bodies for money has not always been the case in the world's oldest profession. Probably, our patriarchal society is just garbage toward women in general, and sex workers have nothing to do with that fact.

Just internalized misogyny where even other women think that women are the cause of the problems perpetuated against them, instead of seeing the problem as the perpetrators. In fact, this argument just continues to give men license to cause harm to women, because "hey, even other women are saying its their own fault."

Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
