    Default Frizzy hair

Anybody here have recommendations for a product for frizzy hair. Right now I am using a product by Garnier Fructis that's for Anti Humidity. For me within 30 minutes it looks like I didn't use anything. Any who I would love to find something that really works.

You need Olaplex. Pricey but worth the investment. You can get them on at Sephora.

Try a hot oil treatment (or deep conditioning treatment) and regular trims

Someone told me one reason hair frizzes because the cuticle is opening to get moisture (if it’s dry) from wherever it can such as moisture in the air especially if it’s humid. Not sure how true this is but anytime my hair gets frizz I think…..damn my hair babies are thirsty n need moisture.

This gal has a very informative video on frizz! Love her other hair videos, too.

This video also legit changed my entire haircare routine. I could not figure out why my hair kept getting coarser and frizzier despite two years of zero heat and babying the crap out of my hair. After only a couple of weeks of adding low-pH haircare and silicones into my routine, my hair is like 100x better, it's crazy. I have fine, long hair for reference.

Just passing this along as a suggestion since i was at a total dead end with my routine. YMMV. I ended up going with Redken, 15% off at Lovelyskin.com with the code Save15. Truly only mentioning it, please do your own research and don't just jump for it based on my recommendation. We are all so different!

Whatever you decide to use, please stick with one or two products and see what give you the best results. More products aren't good for your hair because they can cause products build up.

CGM is honestly what killed my hair! Everyone is just different. It turns out that my hair needs silicones (though i don't use sulfates). Zero heat has been great for helping with frizz though.

Getting the protein and moisture balance is key along with clarifying enough. The transition phase is a bastard of a learning curve and some people like you just like silicones. The sulphate removes the silicone build up.

Yeah, i really followed it and did All of the Things, but it was not agreeable to my hair. I did it for two years and my hair and curls did not improve whatsoever. I know it works well for a lot of people.

I will continue to do no heat, but yeah, silicones are necessary for a lot of people. My hair is fine and curly / wavy, and it gets horribly frizzy and coarse without silicones. It really came to have such a horrible texture while on CGM, and not because i was ignoring a protein / moisture balance thing.

This girl had the exact same results that i did, and she was even more hardcore about following CGM. She and i have very similar hair.

    Anyway, I'll stop threadjacking.

OP, this video may also be interesting to you. I know I'm always sharing this girl's videos, but she's legit! She breaks down some of the myths around haircare, such as the "silicones are bad" myth.

Different things work for different people, of course. It's just useful information if you're not totally happy with your hair and want to avoid falling into some of the myths out there.

    Get this:

    Ken Paves You are Beautiful
    Relaxing Balm.
It's on Amazon or Walmart, (online only)
Straighten & smoothes, control frizz & humidity.

I absolutely LOVE it, only 9.00 for 6.7 oz.
I just started using KP's detangling thermal pump spray, its great too!IMG_20210823_161916.jpg

What is your hair type? Like, how would you describe it?

I don't think there are many products out there that would work for everyone, so a bit more info would help!

What is your hair type? Porosity? Fine or thick? Are your current products moisture rich or protein heavy? When did you last clarify? How often do you clarify? Do you use heat? Is your hair coloured? How do you dry?

all these things will help you get to the root cause and find the best solution.
