Anyway, i think I'm going to give up on finding yoga for now. It's so expensive that if you don't like your studio, resentment builds pretty quickly. Going to try to go back to 1x cardio a week, 1x lifting a week, my usual nightly walks, and potentially 1x flexibility training at the gym a week.
There's probably a lot of yoga videos on YouTube, if you want to do it at home.

    ^yep, I've described why i prefer a studio. Just a preference.

In the last 3 years I've kept up from 140 to 170. Although it doesn't push me into the bbw category, everything from b3ndinging over to buttoning trousers is uncomfortable for me at 170. I've been having a trainer and when he introduced me tracking steps it really became clear how lazy my current lifestyle is.

I think to get back to my 140 goal by Xmas is a bit of a stretch but I'd for sure like to get 2/3 the way there so I've got 2022 off to a good start.

^ How tall are you ?
170 will often look ok on taller people.

Nice. I like that you are working with a trainer. I was too cheap for that. Ha.
I just biked and biked and biked at the gym ( where my hands could use my phone for distraction ).
Now that I'm a little unbalanced ( my arms not at strong as legs ) I'm trying to split the time between them.

I get frustrated sometimes with how much time all this takes but then again if I STICK to what I have done I know I will get more progress because I have seen it.

I might just be totally paranoid lately but I feel like I am getting treated better out and about lately at this " better " weight v.s. a little heavier .

Not tall enough to carry 170 unfortunately. I'm 5'3 and my clothes size is hovering between a US 10 and 12. I'm not saying I look like a monster but all the women in my family are super small framed, my sisters are similar height and both under 120.

I have no motivation at the gym, having a trainer means he turns up at my house with all the kit, works me till i die and then I can feel good for minimal effort :-)

If you want something that you can do at home, jumping rope is a great workout for burning calories. Also, make sure you're eating healthy.

I need to get to the store to have my grab and go food ready.
J just brought sandwich cuts and I need chopped veggies in ziplock bags next for the next few days.

A trick I picked up somewhere is the " half plate is veggies " thing.
^ When doing your own food at home just eat 50% veggies.

The other trick I use currently is hot tea ( about 2-3 cups of it a day ).
I feel like it tricks your body into feeling full and eating less overall.
My appetite is big ( always ! ) so any little tricks like filling up on crunchy veggies or the tea thing are pretty effective for me.

I thought this month is gonna be easy with the period, so 2 days ago i was able to do a complete 50 minute HIIT+ Strength Lower body workout. I was thinking that I will be able to workout for the whole period. But then I woke up yesterday morning and i was a painful potato, had to take some ketoprofen. So, instead of doing the scheduled upper body workout, i did walk in front of the tv, for the whole 1 hour and 30 minutes, watching a movie on netflix. I walked in the laziest way possible and still burned 450 calories and i didn't exhaust myself. Still a win!
Today i feel a little better, so i will do that upper body strength workout.

    I would like to join!
Long term: Lose 12lbs, tone my midsection a bit, exercise 3-4x per week.
Immediate goals: Go back to eating plant based exclusively, walk my dogs 20-30 minutes every day,

Didn't realize how out of shape I was until I recently looked at pictures from three years ago. I've put on a solid 15lbs (meds, bad diet, poor health, & lack of exercise have all contributed). I can't control everything health wise, but now that it isn't 110+ outside, I can at the very least walk my dogs briskly every afternoon and meal prep healthier foods again. Would like to drop a pant size or two ultimately.

I'm doing OK so far. Something I've realised is that it's easy for me to unintentionally overdo it at the gym, because once I'm warmed up and into the session I usually feel I can push and do more, but that results in being excessively sore and fatigued for several days afterwards. This past couple of weeks of holding back a bit seems to be helping.

I'm bad at checking back in to these threads, but I'll try.
Since the gyms reopened this year I've been working on losing my quarantine 15. Also getting out of the habit of snacking for entertainment.
Last week I decided I'm ready to start lifting weights again. I downloaded the stronglifts 5x5 app (free app). I really like the workout. It's uncomplicated. The only exercises are squats, bench press, barbell row, overhead press, and deadlifts. Only 3 exercises a day, 4 times a week, 5 sets of 5 reps, hits all the major muscle groups and doesn't take too long. I do everything in the smith machine because I don't have a workout partner or a trainer. When I've used the workout in the past I make a lot of progress in good time.
Then once I feel like I have a generally good shape, probably 3 - 6 months, I'll add in detailed exercises like split squats and hip thrusts.

I skipped the gym today. I've been in bed most of the day...period is due in the next couple of days and I feel wiped out and down. I just did 20 minutes of bodyweight exercises and some stretches in front of the TV, and now I'm back to stuffing my face with (mainly) healthy homemade food.

^ Mon / Tues I just wandered around slowly with my dog. Same.
Period exhaustion ( I don't think men understand this so I'd rather just be out of the house anyway ha ).

I was at gym Wed - Fri though.

It still works for me to go bike while seeking phone entertainment. I’m a little bored this week from no variation of that ( no yoga classes ). Maybe I can find one for Sunday.

I'm in a frustrating spot of working pretty hard 6 days a week MOST weeks but I hover at 167-170 depending on the day. I still have 3.5 - 7 lbs to go to get into that " this is where you are supposed to be " BMI. :/
I look way better than at my higher weight though so on one hand it's frustrating and on the other I'm happy with progress. I do know losing about one pound per month is quite common so it's fine it's just slower than I'd like.

Okay I have been slacking. I have been doing good eating less sugar and I can go days without chocolate now, but my workouts have been sporadic. My issue is that I never feel like working out in the morning, but when I leave it till after I'm done camming by the time I log off, make and eat dinner I'm too tired and just want to crash. Ultimately I need to train myself to just workout in the morning because it's the most convenient time for it. I need to get better at getting the fuck up after I wake up and getting the day started quicker, my workouts can be done within an hour so there's no reason to not be able to fit it in earlier. Tomorrow I WILL workout before work.

    Gen : I think you’ll like mornings.
I do Noon almost every day because it’s convenient .
I work from home first 2-3 hours of day so I just get ready once at about 1:30.
