The Epoch Times...really? That's not a reputable source of news.
The Epoch Times is a far-right international multi-language newspaper and media company affiliated with the Falun Gong new religious movement. The newspaper, based in New York City, is part of the Epoch Media Group, which also operates New Tang Dynasty (NTD) Television. The Epoch Times has websites in 35 countries but is blocked in mainland China.
The Epoch Times opposes the Chinese Communist Party, promotes far-right politicians in Europe, and has backed President Donald Trump in the U.S.; a 2019 report by NBC News showed it to be the second-largest funder of pro-Trump Facebook advertising after the Trump campaign. The Epoch Media Group's news sites and YouTube channels have spread conspiracy theories such as QAnon and anti-vaccine misinformation. In 2020, The New York Times called it a "global-scale misinformation machine" The Epoch Times frequently promotes other Falun Gong affiliated groups, such as the performing arts company Shen Yun.

Occam's razor or the principle of parsimony or law of parsimony (Latin: lex parsimoniae) is the problem-solving principle that "entities should not be multiplied beyond necessity", sometimes inaccurately paraphrased as "the simplest explanation is usually the best one."

Why not? Appeal to reason has failed repeatedly in the face of propaganda and pseudoscience many times over, so maybe it can’t hurt to try fighting fire with fire for a change. I don’t really think it’s going to make a difference, because they’re trying to get a message across to people who have a Captain Ahab mentality on believing what they want to believe, no matter what. The same ones who call you the sheep, but immediately tout every half baked fucking conspiracy theory video on YouTube as gospel.

Is it that your views are so far right that a more centric view is too left? I'm not trying to be mean, I'm asking.
Twitter and Facebook is crap. I like CNN, but they aren't exactly fair in their reports sometimes.
This site is racist. I scrolled down to the bottom, I didn't see one asian there.
I like being alone, I just don't like being lonely.
I prefer reporting that is fair, balanced and FACTUAL. Opinions ought to be reserved for the Op-Ed pages.
CNN and MSNBC used to make an effort to be fair and factual. The N.Y. Times used to have strict policies about editorializing in news articles. Over the past two decades or so, the lines have become hopelessly blurred or as with the Times, all pretense as to fairness and accuracy has been explicitly dropped and replaced by outright and unabashed advocacy.

I agree with you that news should be factual and free from opinions. I'm not sure there are any news sources are completely fair and free of opinions.
I get my news from NPR and CNN primarily. I don't know much about the NY Times other than their reputation for being great journalism. I'm not sure if that is true anymore.

The record of the N.Y Times is very spotty. It goes back to the original owners the Ochs family who had Southern roots and were slaveholders. During the Civil War the Northern branch of the family were Copperheads. After the Civil War they joined in trying to whitewash the South and romanticize the "Lost Cause". Mrs. Ochs was a major contributor to the Stone Mountain monument ( the Southern Mt. Rushmore ).
After W.W. I the Times had a disgraceful record of cheerleading for Stalin and Soviet Communism. They also did a horrendous job of reporting about the Nazis and then the Holocaust with the noted exception of William Shirer who eventually wrote "The Rise And Fall of the Third Reich".
During the Vietnam War there was a clear divide between the reportage of Times reporters who were "in country" like David Halberstam and the Editorial Page of the Times which was Pro-War up to the Tet Offensive. Halberstam gives an excellent account of this and related matters in his book "The Powers That Be ". Other than supporting the War the Times was decidedly liberal but its reporting was still respected for its depth, scope and accuracy. They even had regular conservative contributors and columnists like William Safire.
Over the past 20 years or so the Times ( and the Washington Post and several other papers ) have adopted advocacy journalism where fairness and accuracy are tossed overboard to serve a higher cause e.g. getting Obama elected ; defeating Trump ; getting him impeached ; defeating Kavanagh etc. The major news networks followed suit. Even sadly NPR and CNN. There was a time when CNN was close to the gold standard in cable news. Not anymore. Fox News is more conservative and used to make an effort at balance with liberal hosts like Alan Colmes ( RIP ) and Shephard Smith but much less today. Afaic NewsMax is factually delinquent all too often and far too slanted.
This is not unique. The British have had several papers ranging over the political spectrum for over a century from socialist through liberal to conservative. The joke is that readers of the Sun don't care who runs the UK as long as she has big tits lol.

Wow Eric Stoner! I'm truly impressed. No joke. Your post is very interesting and well written. I'm glad you said what you said about Newsmax too. I was afraid to ask, but I thought you were a Newsmax viewer.
I tend to get news from many sources and fact check them a bit.
