Default 5 Years of Not Dancing, Got Fat, Want to Return to Clubs

    Hi all!

I’ve been lurking on this forum for a bit, but I finally have the courage to start getting back into shape to go back to the clubs. I miss it so much.

Just like the title of this post, I have been out of the dancing world for about 5 years now. I have a really good vanilla job, but I really want that financial security.

I have gained 20 pounds in those 5 years and I am motivated to lose this weight.

At 5’3” and 135 pounds, I need advice on how to get my body right! Are there any forums that you would recommend? How long do you think it would take me to get to 110-115 pounds?

HEllo! Fitnessblender has some super informative articles about working out and nutrition. You need to dig trough and find what you are interested in, but here's a good starting point https://www.fitnessblender.com/healthy-living/fitness (the articles that are labeled with "plus" in a corner, are for those who have bought membership. I am not a "plus" member yet, but i will, because they are really awesome people. You can filter the info by the free articles, tho).

I am a big fan of them, i do workout with them at home and get satisfying results. Also they give plenty of advice, their community forum is super helpful, so you can check that too (using the search button and probably filter by what word you're interested in).

1 pound a week is considered healthy sustainable weight loss, so that would put you at your goal weight in 4-5 months. But you can probably audition and get hired sooner than that.

Personally I’ve had the most success with tracking macros and weighing my food for weight loss. I find it to be efficient and sustainable.
