I'm so puzzled why OnlyFans were able to get a payment processor but AVN didn't. Maybe they decided it's not worth the trouble? I'm pissed and feel stupid for putting so much confidence in the site and steering other creators and my fans there.

same, this is so upsetting. they have the the nicest, cleanest user interface of all fan site platforms. onlyfans is just fugly. how supremely disappointing that AVN of all platforms doesn't care to be mastercard compliant.

I just find from networking with a lot of newer models who only do fansites - a lot will join one site or another and avoid OF but soon come to realise because guys have never heard of fansly or w/e they're less likely to sign up to it than OF

Fans love OF. I go where the fans and the money is. Men love OF so much that 140 million of them have signed up to it and made it the biggest porn company in the world surpassing MindGeek/Pornhub and did it by putting all the porn behind a pay wall.

In general, I avoid platforms that only accept crypto. Less than 1% of money made with online porn is with crypto. Takes to long to make a purchase with it the first time, so the click through rate for a sale is horrible.

I saw the Playboy endeavor and shall be interesting to see if the new generation of Hefner's can make it a successful brand again. Wondering is Playboy still on the stock market, might invest a few hundred if it is. I wasnt gonna publically say as I was trying to organise a Q&A with the site to alleviate some fears myself and other long term models had - but given up on that today after yet another promised date passed and nada - frisk.chat - theyre not transparent at all about anything, fees on payout options, chargebacks etc - they've also been promising a site update since july 2020 which has yet to materialise (had 3 "due dates" pass now) and a lot of the features dont work right (it's always "thatll be fixed in the update"). They've also had two major security issues - the last was in august & involved multiple models accounts being hacked, we still dont have the ability to use 2-factor authentication despite this (again, "coming in the new update"). Ive been communicating with various members of the site including the owner and its just false promise, question avoiding, and passing me onto other places who never reply. I strongly suspect that arent mastercard compliant - they said they are but couldnt give me details on how our content is pre-moderated, and why they're saying in the next ToS update (which was meant to come this week, but didnt) theyll need to ban some content types due to mastercard when the mastercard changes have been in effect for months now.

generally I'd just avoid, tried to resolve all this and it's just not gone well - "for sex workers by sex workers" was very much how they marketed but now they're just as non-transparent as other sites. plus theres next to no traffic anyway & Ive had multiple issues of subs there being double/triple charged. Oh and when the last security breach happened they didnt inform buyers of the site - and the site was down for a week to fix it - lots of very angry guys as they lost 1/4 of their subscription time with zero communication or any offer of anything back. The hacked models took 3 weeks to get their accounts back and again - nothing for the subs who paid for a month and got one week.

I really liked AVN stars, I agree with minibagel - their layout is neat(that's why I preferred them to OF)
Now they are only promotional platform, for interaction, like some stupid facebook lol
That thing made me nervous, I don't want to think if it might affect other sites, and I cant help but think about it.
I don't wanna do another job! I like this one, wtf.
