Duh The “Can I Buy You A Drink” trap!

I feel like once a customer offers to buy me a drink it’s kind of a trap lol. Like, they’re interested and willing to spend some money on me....or so it seems....until suddenly I feel obligated to sit and chat because they bought me a drink. Then suddenly it turns into a time suck, he has to flag down a waitress, wait for her to come back with the drink, I can’t get up and leave immediately because now I have this drink he bought me....ugh!!!! How do y’all avoid this quicksand time suck?! I am thinking from now on of just saying “if you’d like to drink let’s go drink in vip right now!” Or “sure but I only drink in vip!” Advice appreciated!

I order a fake shot, one real for him and a fake one for me (arrange this with the waitress), water instead of tequila is perfect. Then, drag him off to VIP.

It’s honestly a case by case basis thing I think.

I think one of the best things I’ve heard for a high end place is getting soda or Red Bull and saying “I only drink champagne” lead the sale up into rooms from the start. So I agree with what you’re saying there.

My homeclub is slow paced enough that I don’t worry about the drink, and have that guide me. There is a sign up that says “finish the drink while with the customer” which I only do if they do lapdances or tip. Otherwise, off to the bathroom to dump it in the sink, and move on to the next customer. But that club doesn’t water down their alcohol enough so I don’t care what their rule is on it

You’re at Bucks right? If I recall correctly, there is decent volume and it’s fast paced there. Hit up the bottle service customers first. Then you can pour your own drink, and control the pace than relying on the pace of the waitress.

If slow enough, I don’t worry about the time it takes, but ask for the sale once the drink comes back. If it’s busy enough, only have the drink with a customer if they have already spent $100, and taking a break with them will get them relaxed enough to spend more.

I tell them it's a drink + 50 € tip for my time. If they don't want to pay me 50 € then I don't accept the drink.

Don't feel obligated. Personally, they get their 3-5 songs depending on how slow it is, and then I vamoose, taking the 3/4 full drink with me and abandoning it elsewhere in the club.

Sometimes I go "Ohhh I wish I could but I'm already cut off... I get in too much trouble here if they let me keep going "

If the waitress is taking a long time, start saying how in VIP you get awesome service, etc etc.
"People jack off with the left hand and point with the right."

"You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."

WHY can't all clubs have dancer drinks ? I feel like I must just be a drink magnet or something. I get offered like 20 of them a night. If only I could make $10 on each one. :/

Hawaii and Guam does it. You sell 20,40,50,100 drinks and you get half of it. It’s pretty cool, I usually do $40 drinks for my time.
