clubs for black dancers....up to date info please

I read an old thread or two about black dancer friendly clubs but those threads were old.

I know a few of you sistas on here travel and are from different states.

How about giving the rest of us sistas on here some input?

What region/s are you considering, or are you just curious in general about "White" clubs that are receptive, or Black clubs, or both?

Hell, yall....I mean all over. I loooove traveling and I have fam in Houston and Dallas. I called HK 2 years ago, and the housemom told me to just come on down. I didn't go obviously, but I want to like in June. I lived in Miami, so I know those clubs. I'm in Chicago now, and don't appreciate it at all. I've worked in Atlanta already. I'd like to know what's the deal with Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Kansas and such.
I'll prob take a trip to Texas in June, I could kill a few birds on that trip.
I've read about a few joints in the BlackTail mag on some clubs in Cali.

I just wanna work and travel 3 weeks a month and get it up.

Oh yea, clubs on the north east coast, like in Philly, New Jersey, New York, Virginia.

I think it depends on what type of black girl you are. If you look exotic (multiracial), have long hair, are thin or in shape, you could pretty much get in anywhere. Make sure you speak the "king's english" (you know what I mean).

You don't have to go on any particular night, just don't go on a Monday (closed). Try to get there around 7., The later, the more your housefee will be., plus I like to park closer to the front, so my car is watched.

You have to pay to rent a locker $3-$5. Corgan is right, extras are available, but you don't have to do anything! I have never suffered at HK because of other girl's extra's either. I simply don't do the "fantasy room".

Dances on the floor are non-contact, and you can make crazy money on stage. You don't have to go on stage though, just give Eric your tip-out, and he will skip you. Plenty of girls will be happy to fill in the blank!!!

Sundays and Tuesdays are packed, because its $5 dollar dances, but don't turn your nose up just yet.....you'll still end up making just as much(more) money.....consider it cardio

BustyBabe, can you give me the lowdown on Miami? I want to know what to expect before I go. I was told the clubs were packed with dancers. :-/

Tenn: didn't all or half of the Memphis clubs close down?

I know 2 dancers who work in Chattanooga, but I never asked them how it was since I never planned on going there.

Last time I was in Nashville the only black club had closed down. Seemed to be dead in there all the time anyhow so I wasn't surprised. I don't know if they opened another since then, hopefully someone could give more info. I'd be surprised if there isn't a new club since the AA population in Nashville is so big. Not to mention the huge military base 45 mins north that is home to one of the worst SC's I've ever seen.

I know about Fayetteville NC clubs, but I will need to know how much $$ you are trying to make before I can recommend any.

NY metro area:

1. Sues- the closest you'll get to an ATL club in NY. Word on the street is they are limiting the # of AA dancers- I do not know how true this is, but 2 different people informed me of this when I was hanging out at another club. One said it straight out, the other elaborated that they didn't want too many black guys in there anymore so they don't want too many black dancers. That of course is no reason not to try to work there, I knew 2 dancers that do and they are both black.

Sin City has a quota for sure, everytime I been there I have only seen 2 black dancers (hopefully that is not the norm) but if you can get in there it will be worth it. Very pretty club with food and their own club money and dayshift is available. Huge stage, huge mirrors. It would be a great place to perform if you are a stage type. All sizes, super skinny to voluptuous (not fat, the sexy thick).

The Player's Club renovated and reopened last year. I don't know how it was prior, but it's pretty cool. Big stage- 3 poles plus 2 smaller ones and VIP area. Has a dayshift. I can't confirm or deny extras happening here (since that is the rallying cry from those who detest the Bronx clubs), if it does it's pretty hidden. The only club with a lesbian night, which I love in theory but wouldn't work since I'd be fired. I know someone who will be working there soon, so I will update when I get the info.

The only other 2 non dives in the BX are Crazy Horse and Bada Bing. Don't know much about either, but they have dancers of color.

Other places worth a look- most clubs in Queens if not all have WOC...will you be accepted with open arms? I'm not sure but it will be easier than most in Manhattan.

Most guys tell me about Cityscapes.
I'm in the midst of sorting through the Queens clubs then I'll be checking out Connecticut and I will add whatever I find out.

I'm just a crusty custy but thought you might appreciate this info.

There are three black clubs near Saint Louis, MO. They are actually just across the river in IL.

In Brookly, IL there is the Pink Slip and Bottom's Up, there may be another club opening in the near future also. Brooklyn is a rough area but the clubs seem to be popular. Pink Slip made the news a couple years ago because some of the St. Louis Rams football team were spending too much time there. At least their coach thought so!

In Washington Park, IL which is also just across the river from St. Louis there is a club called Soft Touch. It is also a black club but has a reputation for blatant extras. Plus a guy was shot in their parking lot a year or so ago.

As for Miami: I worked at Rolexx: alot of GA girls travel to work there. Nude. House fee: $50. The Take One Lounge is small but its cool for a couple of hundred a night. I didn't work at CoCo's but that club isn't far from Rolexx and it stays packed.

When are you going to Connecticut? Are you in or near NY? Definitely tell me about the Fayetville NC clubs.

This thread is awesome. Well here goes my $.02...

In Los Angeles,CA there are four black clubs... Ron's Barbary Coast, King Henry, First King and Starz.

Ron's Barbary Coast is the only club that is 18 and over. Juice bar. Quite ghetto but this was my first club and it's where I've made the most money consistently. Many girls don't like it but it is easy to get hired, there is a lot of freedom as far as music choice, and if you are pretty and personable you will bank easily.

King Henry, First King and Starz are all owned by the same people. First King and King Henry I've never set foot inside and do not want to from what I hear, so I can't comment.

Starz is the most popular club. It's where the prettiest black girls are and is the only club in the entire Los Angeles area where there is full nudity and alcohol, black or white. It's 21 and over as are First King and King Henry, so most younger dancers start off at the Barbary Coast and "graduate" to Starz when they turn 21. They have higher standards as far as who gets hired, but from what I can tell most SW ladies would do just fine. Management can be assholes though.

There are also white clubs in Los Angeles and mostly hispanic ones. I've always done well at the hispanic ones but not so good at the white, white ones. Anybody want more info PM me.

I'm right outside the city, not far from the action. I only know 1 person who actually lives in CT, I contacted him to get the names of the clubs worth looking at then I'll recruit someone to tag along with me to check them out.

Fayetteville. Money was flowing like water before much of the base got put on rotation. But it is far from barren out there- common sense will tell you the 1st/15th and the weeks right after are the best to work.

Secrets is the most mainstream, the club that has the most porn star appearances etc. They will hire all types as long as you are on the slimmer side of the weight scale. I have only been in there once as a customer, but they do get good business.
Directly across the street is Sharky's- kinda run down looking (but not much- there is much worse in FayetteNam) but it gets crowded in there.

The word of mouth club is Mickey's, guys go in there to play pool (groan) and watch the stage. Their stage is one of the highest I've ever seen- imagine you are performing on a concert stage and your customers are in the audience. They have to look up at you. There is a separate room and smaller stage that plays all hip-hop, the larger stage & area plays rock. I have never seen a ton of money passed around in here, but I will admit I've only gone sporadically.

There is a club a few doors down called 'Pump House' just stay away from there, not worth your time.

Fayetteville black club 1: Crazy Dave's. Look for the myspace page for the 'talent' that works there. A hot chick could wipe the floor against most of the regular ones. (There are some hotties but to my knowledge they move on to better places). If you want to brave working here (lots of posturing drug dealer types mixed with no job types mixed with soldiers and throw in a few decent guys) you won't have to work too hard. There is a swing on the stage and a VIP area. I presume the hardest task is separating the wheat from the chaff. And in there, there is much of the latter.

Black Club 2: Illusions. I would try here if I were you. 2 little birds told me the dancers don't hustle, and the $$ are there for a hustler's taking. I've never been personally, since it opened long after I moved away- but I plan to go next time I visit.

Your best bet for $$ in faye is to find a club with dayshift that will hire you (only mixed clubs open during the day) then go to another at night. You wanted to make $500 consistently- I'm not gonna say you can't but it won't be easy. $500 once, twice a week is more like it with less in between. Try to center your visit around military payday and a major holiday/3 day weekend- cash will be there for you. Also try Reflexions in s.carolina, there is $ out there, and they loooove new dancers. Extras are available, in the VIP area (which I presume is how some manage to leave with $600 or more unless it is a crazy great night) but you don't have to do anything of course.

Faye has many more clubs, I know of 5. But don't waste your time, unless you want to work at mostly $50/70/90 a night clubs.

Dallas Gentleman's Club (Dallas, TX) - there was one other white girl besides me, all rap
Clubhouse (Dallas, TX) - doesn't matter what color you are, as long as you like rock/metal/punk music
Hott 22 (central NJ) - mixed race, all music "except hard rap/hip hop," they say this is due to gang issues; I dunno.
Harem (north NJ) - mixed race, all music
Onyx (Charlotte, NC) - didn't work there, but I heard it's like Dallas Gentleman's
Baby Dolls (Phoenix, AZ) - day shift is mixed, night shift is mostly black girls, all rap
PT's (Denver, CO) - mixed race, diverse range of music with VERY limited selection

Off the top of my head, these are the black dancer-friendliest clubs I have experince with. Hope this helps.

Pleasure Victim: I worked there year round. All of the months seemed the same to me truthfully. Alot of GA girls travel there to work. You'll be working with like 50-75 girls a night. Do you know about the Virginia clubs?

Cool! Good to know. Miami in '08. The most dancers I've ever worked with was about 40-50 tops. I happened very rarely I hope I can handle it. Would it be better if I worked the day shift to get acclimated or either way it won't matter?

I know nada about VA, all I heard about was Paper Moon in Richmond and I heard they prefer Barbies...don't know how true that is. A friend of mine told me about another spot, but it appeared to be an 'in the know' type of place for locals.

There appears to be $$ in Norfolk though- I only know the names of the clubs there...nothing more. I'll see if I can gather some more info.

As far as what time to work: I worked both days and nights. You know in the daytime, you get the business men. At night, the hustle men plus.
No matter where you work in Miami, you will make some type of money.
