Default How much do you save a month?

I always try to save 5k every month and get very anxious if I donít make it because I feel like weíre sacrificing our bodies and investing our youth and beauty which wonít last long and slip away in a few years. But even when Iíll be not young and beautiful anymore Iíll at least have everything set up and have money saved. Whatís yíall thoughts on it?

Well everyones situation is different. I think it's important to save as much as you can. I think saving 5k a month is great. But I don't think you need to freak out if you don't save that much either. It sounds like you're really young? Your beauty wont slip away overnight

I started dancing at 18 and wasted a lot of money on luxury items, car note, and trips. After talking to older dancers and seeing theirs and my peers' consequences of not saving and solely depending on dancing to get by, I realized, at 21, I had to change my spending habits and lifestyle.

A woman's youth and beauty is temporary. As my mother once said to me "A woman is like a flower. When you're young and blooming, everyone wants you. As you get older and start to wither, no one wants you." Kinda echoed to me as I start to realize the sad reality of a "career stripper."

I used to save about $2500/month. As well, I saved a little for emergency.

    Saving money is always wise.

Not really though. Men have tried to brainwash women into believing that.

I'm past menopause and there is no shortage of men chasing me, if I wanted them. Many times I wish they would leave me the hell alone. Maybe you wouldn't want to be a stripper forever but there are plenty of other opportunities to cash in. If they are going to annoy me I want to be paid for it lol.

At a minimum, you must save 30% of your take home just for taxes. (Independent contractor clubs). Beyond that, when I was working, I had a budget for living expenses, and I was saving enough for tuition payments from my dancing. Once I had tuition for the upcoming semester saved, and my 30%, then I'd put the rest in my brokerage account. Remember, time in the market beats timing the market every time.

    I go by percentage personally...
    2019 54%
    2020 49%
    2021 35%
    2022 (so far) 52%

Average is 48% of my total earned income!

Haha compared to like 99% of the other women who give their time, youth, and beauty away for free to undeserving men or do fuckall with it, never knowing their own potentials, you're doing pretty great by even saving 500 bucks a month. $5000 a month savings is GREAT!

    Weekly earning target: $1000
Saving for: school, traveling, rainy day fund
