The best suggestion I have for a DJ who doesn't want to sound like all the rest is to invest in a thesaurus. I am not trying to be a smart ass, but most Djs have a limited club vocab where they describe everybody as either beautiful, sexy or hot and occasionally will use a word that begins with the same letter of the dancers name and create harmony, like Delicious Delilah and things of that sort.
Every Dj pretty much announces every girl the same way and calls all of em hot or pretty or whatever even when they're not so that the crowd starts to not even pay attention b/c he is repetitive. Just try to think of a couple of diff ways to intro girls and make announcements, and work with the girls on music. Not that you would do this, but if you are having a bad nite or things are going funny make sure you keep your attitude and comments in check over the mic so that customers and girls are not unduly offended.

Thanks... I agree most D.J.'s appear to be stuck in a rut causing the commentary to become monotonous... which is why I am asking for different one-liners... just to get somethings that may not be same ol same ol.... I have a large vocabulary.... just looking for starting points only so many "legs all the way to heaven" 's I can stomach lol thanks

At the first club I worked, they would announce the girls with a short 'bio':
This is Buffy, she likes to slay vampires at night!
Next here's Mignon, a feast for the eyes. (yes we really had a girl with that stagename)
Coming up we have Rayne, she won the Miss (whatever) contest last year!
Taking the stage now is Barbie, she's looking for a new Ken.
Next on stage, this is Ashley, our Miss October Calendar girl.
The beautiful Sunny is coming up next - a ray of sunshine!
Get ready for sexy Miss Lexi to rock your world!
And now here is the fabulous Candice - she's just finishing her degree in Sex Ed, and she'd like to give you a few lessons.
Up next, our very own Swedish Beauty, Pamela!

On and on - something that helps is to make a 3x5 card on each girl that you keep filed alphabetically in a cardbox in the booth. Get them to tell you their interests, contests won, hobbies, modeling credits, where they're from, fave songs/type of music, etc. When one girl is on stage, you can pull out the next girl's card and see what she likes to dance to and what to say about her.

Thats great. We had music pref cards at one club but they didn't include intro stuff. If the Dj was stuck we just told him what we liked to be intro to or what we thought was cool. I was Devastating Divyne sometimes, but the dj would change it up sometimes to just cute little lines like just announcing divyne and saying she's been up at schol for awhile, time to let some of that private school freak outta her. Anything to break the monotony.

My favorite intro ever (which would work for another redhead):

"And now.... red on the head, fiiiiiiire in the hole... the sensational Zoe!"

I loved it, tacky as it sounds. I think because it was just really cool how he drug out the word "fire" and reminded the guys that I'm a redhead. Guys that go for redheads, really GO for redheads and I like them to notice my hair as often as possible.

One thing I have always found helpful is to use the lyrics of the music as inspiration. The classic example of this might be Creed's "Ready"--so you can say "As you can clearly see, she IS most definitely ready... ready, that is, to entertain you in a lot more personal style. She's all warmed up--we're turning her loose."

My favorite line inspired by a song is from The Cult's "Lil' Devil", but the dancer has to be cute for it to work.

"She's got the face of an angel...
    but she's a naughty...little...devil.
And that's just the way we like her!"

Lots of songs have "Angels" in their lyrics, so you can say "We DO have an angel on our stage, gentlemen, and her name is _____. And now she's all ready to show you a little bit of Heaven, on this Earth, in that VIP"

But sometimes a very special dancer will come along, whose manner is so sweet, and whose beauty is so sublime, that I cannot resist calling her "The Angel", or "The Wicked Angel", or "The Erotic Angel", or any combination of the above. In which case I have to be careful not to use that line on someone else. Also, if there is a dancer named "Angel", that gets confusing, so unless she really IS an Angel, you're better off skipping that bit, LOL.
You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.

I've worked with a lot of DJ's who like to crack jokes. It seems to work in this area. My fav Dj now bills me as the oldest entertainer in the city, this works for me, I'm 35 but look about 25. I know some girls don't like the goofing around stuff but it really helps me. Check with the girls and see what they would like. One girl at work was upset because she didn't have a title like our calendar girls or Entertainer of the Year so he started billing her as a XXX porn star, she thought it was great and her tips went up just for that.
