    Default Really stupid question

Okay. I may be the only person that experiences this, and maybe I'm crazy, but does anyone else have trouble removing eye-liner after you've been in the club all night? For some reason, I cannot get my eye-liner off after dancing. Is it the oils? The smoke scum? The sweat? Why is it worse than just a normal day at the mall? Don't laugh (although I'm having trouble keeping a straight face myself, re-reading this....) Please help if you have any good tips. I look like a hooker at the wrong end of police brutality when I wake up!

I like triple size cotton balls, q-tips and olive oil. Then I wash my face. Of course it won't ALL come off. But damn near it.

You know what? Mine is really hard to get all the way off too, I sympathize. I use baby oil.

Anything that contains oil should be good. I always used Olive oil too! It's very good for the skin, won't harm the eyes if you get it inside (only blurry) and is thicker than most oils, so it will take less. If you still have a problem say you don't like actually wiping the eye, heat the oil up to a very slight warmth.

PS always check the heat first, it should feel like warm water, no hotter. The eye skin is very very thin.

Thank you so much for all the help. I wonder if people have any clue about the knowledge base that we, as a profession have.

Mine is hard to remove after working also - moreso than when I wear makeup on a regular day out. I use 100% cotton pads and baby oil. Works very well and doesn't break the bank! It usually takes 2 pads soaked in baby oil to remove all the eye-gunk after working.

Can I add that if your skin is prone to breaking out then stay away from any mineral oil (baby oil). I also love jojoba oil. It's much lighter than the olive oil.

I only use the baby oil to remove eye-makeup. I couldn't possibly use it on my whole face! But it seems to also help moisturize the eye area, which is always drier. But yes, if you have really acne-prone skin, baby oil may not be a good idea even in the eye area. I never thought of jojoba oil!

Clinique makeup remover in the PURPLE bottle. I SWEAR IT WILL TAKE ANYTHING OFF...and you dont have to tug or pull on the eyelid. It has silicone in it and it is wonderful. Try it.
