Default I gottInjuried on my bike

Ohh ladies Im hurting soooo bad!!! Had a minor accident last nite.

What happened was I pulled up on the feeder road trying to hurry up to get on the ramp on the freeway and I could have made it there! I hit the curb ( if I had serve it couple of inches I would have been ok) As I hit the curb going only 30 to 40 mph my ass fell over and lucky I had my motorcycle jacket and helmet on. When I went over my right lower abdomen hit the left mirror making it bend backward and hit the ground. As I hit the ground my elbow hit first then my helmet. My bike hit one side then bounced to hit on the other side breaking a little piece of brake lever. I slid and rolled over. The witness (lady) helped me I had to get up off the ramp onthe freeway to sit on the curb so I wont get hit and ambulance, fire truck and cop helped me out. But told them Im okay nothing seriously hurt and I jumped back on my bike and left.

Im pretty shooken up but Im okay.. I got a little scratches here and there and what really hurts me the most is the sensitive spot on my lower abdomen. It's swollen bad but the swelling went down last nite after I put ice on it and still doing it this morning.

Anyway just wanted to tell u I had a fucked up nite last nite and Im still sore and it even hurts to blow my nose or laugh!!! But the good thing is Im okay and got couple of band aid here and there lol.

Yeah thanks everyone for your conerns. I went to the E.R. and got myself checked out just to make sure. The dr didnt find any internal bleeding or in my urine because my lower abdomen was swollen. It's the size 2 hotdogs bun together. He said it's the muscle that's swollen and gave me some antibodies and muscle relaxer.

Hopeuflly I'll heal soon cuz I gotta go make some money lol.

    Hi kiddo,

I am so glad you went to the Doc. Until I read that I was just getting ready to lecture you about possible internal injuries! OK since you went I will hold the lecture.

Sorry to hear about your accident--but remember, if you have one on a motorcycle and survive in one piece, you are doing well! I had three very serious accidents, any one of which should have killed me. After the second, I decided that if it happened again and I survived, I would stay off bikes--three strikes and I was out, LOL.

The last one was the worst--a drunk hit me head on, and me with no helmet. Now I have scars all over me, and a slight limp when I am tired, but I no longer ride.

I do miss it, and still dream about it--it's always the BMW, LOL. But I want to keep all my limbs and my face intact, and I think I am just a bit too wild on the damned things. So be it...

Ride safe, and enjoy the wind.

yeah I learned the hard way .. learn to swerve that thing or hold on to the bike tightly it'll go over the curb smoothly ( it may be rough) but it should be okay.

And here I am thinking about doing stunts on my bike. What a hardheaded I am lol. I only can sketch on the side of the bike, endos and ride on top of the tank. And lately been trying to learn how to do wheelies but can't get it up higher. I would rather buy a stunt bike than damage my own pretty bike.

Yeah I'd be extra careful and would wear leather from head to toe. But thanks for your concern everyone and already Im starting to feel better :-D .

And I thought I was wild, LOL.

Actually, one time in Texas I got all excited driving down the road when I saw a billboard I had designed up for the first time, and immediately pulled off to the side. There was a large and steep embankment or hill on the side of the road, and I went right up the damned thing, but in my exhilaration, I forgot to DOWNSHIFT (duh!).

I made it almost all the way up, but it just wasn't going to happen that way, and just before I crested the hill I ran out of momentum, and began to roll back. Not such a pleasant prospect on a 900cc bike. I managed to wipe out on the side of the hill--with a minimum of injury to myself or the bike, but it was very very embarassing, as it was rush hour! They must have had a good laugh, watching the idiot on the bike!

So now you have heard a little story of a dumb Djoser...

Whoa, Hershey, I'm so sorry, but I'm so glad you had on your brainbucket and jacket - it just doesn't take much to get injured, unprotected.

I've been riding longer than you've been living. I tend to ride a bit edgy, and I've been down on every bike I've ever had, except my last one. Even when you fall down at a low speed (and 30 or 40 is not slow falling speed), the muscles are tensed, the adrenalin is flowing, there's bruising, shaking, bumping - you just can't help but be stove up for a few days.

Glad you're OK. Brake levers and handlebars and wheels can be fixed - it's that stuff that's on top of the bike that really matters.

OMG Hershey! I am soooo sorry to hear this! I also ride a motorcycle (Ninja) but have never crashed...yet.

Are you okay? I am so glad to hear that lady stopped to help you get yourself and your bike off the road. And also that you ride sensibly with a helmet and leather jacket.

Is the bike damaged pretty bad? You ride a GSXR right?

Dont get discouraged....we learn from these experiences

    Take Care!
