Default Is it smart to work when there is a feature?

Hi a couple of my friends and I are going to dance for a weekend at the Northern in Fargo. We are from the Twin cities and heard girls from our area say you can go there and come back with two grand. So we are planning it but they bring in pornstar's as features. Should we schedual to work when this feature is scheduald? My home club does not bring in features so I have no idea if this is smart buisness sense. In your girls expereinces is dancing while a feature in town bring in alot of guys and money? Or do they only come in to see the feature and do not want any dances? Please tell me your opinions. I appreciate it. I just want to go when we will have the maxium money making potenital!!

We have features at my club, but they are never anyone really famous. I've never heard of any of them....they are just stuff like Miss Easy Rider and appeared in Hustler and some porns and stuff.

Anyway, they bring in customers, but the problem is if her act is really good, they will be less interested in the house dancers. If she's not that interesting, then the guys will just ignore her as "not all that" and pay attention to the house girls.

I agree. I've worked in clubs where there are features, sometimes it can be great and sometimes not. IMO, it's a real pain in the ass to work when there are features because in most clubs, you are not allowed to do dances when the feature is performing. Since their performances last 20 minutes and they do 3-4 a night, you've got alot of lag time. If their show is any good you often wind up having to talk to guys about her and her show for a while before you can get them to focus back on laps. I stopped working when/where there are features a LONG time ago.

being a feature i used to think it wouldve been awful to be a house girl while there was a feature but now being a house girl ifind that when the feature is done is a really ez time to get dances. i do esp well when theres a feature thats blonde with big tits. they run right to me. and i get to walk home and sleep in my own bed, no phot shoots or radio shows to get up for. just lay in my pool if i feel. it gives me the best of both worlds.

    Lilac,

If I am reading your post right one thing to keep in mind is that even if there is a "feature" there you are also different from what the guys in that club are used to. So you have the "fresh face" factor going for you in that particular club, know what I mean? Not to mention there is no feature out there who could make men not notice you. Sorry if I embarass you but it is the truth.

Which is probably why Jordon still does well even with a feature around too.
Anyone with a memory should be very humble.

If you like young guys, feature acts bring in a ton of 21-26 year old guys.

Features can be a mixed bag. Depending on how famous and good looking the feature is, you can get sometimes get some high rolling customers or you can end up with cheap guys who barely spend a few dollars on the stage. Often you have to just put up with it, especially if features are booked for the club's busier shifts.

For the most part, features equal a lag in lap dance time, although there have been a few times when I've been dancing for a regular who would pay for VIP time when the feature performed, especially if the feature was uninteresting or physically unattractive.

Another problem is sometimes the features are just downright nasty mean bitches, especially to the housedancers. I had a feature try to pick a fight with me one night after work ended because I made more money lap dancing that night then she was being paid by the club to perform! (Yeah, like thats all my fault, bleh).

And for the most part, alot of the features I've seen have very uninteresting, generic stage shows. Most of them go just like this: the girl taking off her clothes, putting whipped cream on some guy and embarassing him, and then degenerate into a game of cooterball. Rinse, wash, repeat a few times each night.

Having been on both sides of this situation, my opinion is that it all depends whether the feature and the house dancers manage to work together so everybody can take advantage of the extra customers, or whether the feature and the house girls wind up working against each other. It helps for house dancers to take a long term view i.e. the feature performing may be costing you a little bit of money at that particular moment, but the new customer that the feature brought into the club might be ripe for training as a new 'regular' who will keep coming back and keep spending money on you long after the feature is gone !

In fairness, I'll also admit that some features, particularly heavy XXX girls and girls with so-so appearance/performance, tend to attract new club customers who are often sleazy or cheap, not exactly the kind of customers that build an upscale, high earnings potential customer base.

I worked at a club during a week when Jenna Jameson was featuring. Money sucked for all of us house girls. The guys were there strictly to see Jenna and became agitated when us house girls asked for dances. I learned right then that I would work when future features were scheduled to come to the club -but never when Jenna Jameson is featuring. Plus, she was far from friendly, even to us house girls. We heard her talking loudly in the dressing room about how ugly she thought our club was and how she couldnt believe she actually agreed to do her show there. She also tried to charge all us girls $20. for a pic with her. But the best part was that she came a small entourage of people inlcuding her little friend Nikki Taylor (Tyler?) who brought her dog with her. Well her dog pissed all over our bags and costumes back in the dressing room. No apologies from either of them. Not even an acknowledgment that many girls clothes were ruined. Fun crew of people to work with.

I don't know if this is the analogy but everytime a lion makes a kill there usually is enough for the rest of the scavengers.

I work at a club with Features and I've worked at clubs without them. I don't think it helps or hurts. It's all what you make of it. I think the main thing to remember when a feature is doing her show is that the show is for the men/customers. I just keep working going from guy to guy. I pretty much act like the show isn't going on. I try never to dance for a guy out on the floor when the feature is on just out of respect. I take them to the lap dance room. Although my club dosn't have any crazy rules regarding us not dancing when the feature is on. I think that would really bother me if that was the case.

The club I frequent with the most regularity pulled in a few features over the last few months. I avoided those days. I don't like the hype and I don't like the "I'm A Star" attitude. I would rather see the dancers who work day in and day out, busting their butts and keeping the place going.

Featured dancers are people just like everyone else.

I think it's a toss up. I really don't like dancing the same night there was a feature but every now and again I will. Sometimes the features will take alot of time out of your shift and of course guys won't buy anything because she's there. Sometimes I do a little better but who really knows
