Default Are you afraid when you arrive or leave your club?

In the area I live in the clubs are all in a really nasty part of town and I would think that is pretty much par for the course.

As I have told many of you I have not been in a strip club in almost 20 years. The other day I was driving past that area and quite frankly I thought to myself that I would be leary of parking my car and getting out in that area. And I am a 51 year old man that no one would look twice at unless they want my money or my car. If I were a beautiful young woman, it would terrify me to have to go that area every day, dressed seductively, and also then to come out and have the people in the area think that I have my pockets full of cash.

Do your clubs have good enough security outside that you feel safe coming and going? Do you fell that your customers are safe outside of your club?

Or do you take care of your own security with mace, or something?

Take good care of yourselves, Daddy-O is worried about the girls.

we don't have "security" at the club i work at...
but we are on a main highway...
the worst part is waiting for them to open...
i usually sit in my car...
but we always get people honking at us if we wait outside... nothing i haven't been dealing with since i was 12...lol
the managers usually walk us out...
to tell you the truth i'm more sketched out by the managers than the customers...
but i carry mase and have 911 on speeddial on my cell phone...
don't worry about me i'm leaving this club as soon as i learn the ropes...
    but i appreciate your concern...

Heidi, your club scares me and I have never been there. Be careful and watch yourself. ;)

I danced in a couple of clubs with almost nonexistent security, and leaving late at night was creepy. I always kept my mace handy.

The weirdest was at a club with good security. Somebody followed me when I turned out of the parking lot. I called the SE Precinct House and talked to the watch commander. He told me to drive straight to the Precinct. The creep followed me right into the parking lot! Two road officers and a K-9 officer met me. The creep who followed me had lots of explaining to do, and Rex the Wonder Dog looked very hungry.

we have a guy in the parking lot all night. after we close all customers leave and the parking lot is cleared before we can even walk out the door. if there is a fight or something outside we cant leave till the police do!

Ah, that is the question isn't it? LOL

Here is the answer. I love strippers, I love the concept of this sexy curvey woman taking it all off in front of a club full of horny men hooting and hollaring and the simple thought appeals to the old pervert in me. And of course I love beautiful women as well and so one day while talking with Melonie Charm at another forum, I think she mentioned the stripper web and I checked it out. Or something like that, Mel may remember it better than me since i suffer from chronic CRS. (Can't
    remember sh*t) LOL

So anyway, I come and I start talking cause that is just how I am and then I start to appreciate not only the beauty but the intellect and the humanity of a lot of people here and next thing I know....

So there you have it, I am a woman loving, stripper obsessed, overly talkative, bleeding heart crusader trying to save all the strippers if not from themself than at least save them for me.

No I probably won't and it is for a very simple and boring reason.

I know that my wife who I love dearly and I know I am d*amned lucky to have would be very hurt and consider it a betrayal for me to go to a club to see other women.

She is the light of my life and I would never do anything to let her down if I could possibly help it. She knows I surf the net and look at gorgeous women and she understands that I am just a man being a man but if I were to go to a club she would feel I had stepped over the line. And I would NEVER do anything to make her feel that way whether she knew about it or not.

I am just a boring old loyal husband.

At my club, the bouncers go outside after the club closes and none of the dancers are allowed outside till everyone is gone. I usually don't drive myself, my ex used to take me there and pick me up and then we broke up so that's out. Now most of the time one of the bouncers takes me home and a friend will drop me off.

I feel safe at my club : )

We have valet so we can just drop our cars off at the door. My fiance always takes me to work anyway.

Xmarx, you are such a sweet man! Your wife is lucky to have you as well.

hmm the only thing i fear about coming and going at my club is the mantinance man, he watches me very closely when i walk to my car after shift (7pm); and has been reprimanded for hanging around the dressing room to look at girls naked, and i would even go so far as to say that he is the one who broke into my car last week and stole everything in it. but for some reason the managers are giving this man 30 strikes instead of 3.

Usually not. I think you get desensitized to those things, though.

I've worked at clubs where when I started I was nervous even getting out of my car in the neighborhood, but after a couple weeks it didn't bother me at all.

But most strip clubs are not in bad areas and a bouncer walks you out.

No, our security is pretty good. Our security guys really work for us and always walk us out or if someone is picking you up they see you to the door and wait until you are inside the vehicle to walk away from the main door. Also, one of our managers was smart enough to take advantage of the fact that the state troopers sit on the highway a mile from our club at the I-40/240 split every day, where there is really nothing.

We give them free sodas, coffee, and food so our club is now part of their highway patrol and thur, fri, sat nite they come 30mins b/4 close and sit on the lot by the door until the lot is clear, management and all. Fri and Sat nite the local cops come by at 3, 4 and 5 and come in and get something to drink, use the bathroom and then they sit in the DJ booth for five or ten minutes so that noone can see em so the customers don't get scared.

To me that is a great idea. As a taxpayer I have no problem with cops having a break once in a while and having a free pepsi or whatever and escorting the ladies out. Heck strippers pay taxes too ya know.

Can I hear an AMEN! LOL

I am fortunate enough to work in a club that is in one of the nicest, most upscale areas of PR, and also the safest. It is practically unheard of for something to happen here. There are cops all over the street, it's well-lit, and full of tourists. I live in the same neighborhood and walk around here everyday, at any hour. I have a good friend who's lived in this same area for 5 years and she has always walked at all hours here as well. The worst thing that happens to us here is alot of horny morons yell and catcall every time we go walking down the street.

We do have a door man that would walk us to our cars. We also have a guy who would sit in the parking lot and keep an eye on everything (since the club let the security guard go cuz they dont wanna pay the company for the securty guard).

We sometimes have a cop sit on the side of the highway, only to catch people speeding or driving drunk. That highway is famous for people who drive drunk and getting into an accident. I've been followed a few times when Im riding my bike but of course they can't keep up cuz I'd be flying. I once got pulled over and explained my situation with him and I actually had to beg him to follow me until it was safe for him to turn around and go back to where he was. It was pretty scary!

Wow, Kobis' club has valet??NICE! At my club, there's a door guy to walk you to your car. If you step outside without him, you're fired.

Honestly yes I am afraid when I arrive to work. The club I work at sucks when it comes to security with girls coming in and leaving the building. This is the only club I have worked at where the bouncers do not walk you in and out. I literally run from my car into the building. I must look like an idiot but I dont care. Of course management makes sure that the parking lot is cleared before the girls get sent out, but I am the only girl who INSISTS that a bouncer walks me to my car (dancers have to park in back of the building and the girls get let out in the front -nice, huh?) For the first time in two years of being here, a bouncer who has recently been hired, who actually takes his job SERIOUSLY, offers to walk me to my car. He's the only truly decent bouncer we have. I don't even tip him to do this, and the cool thing is, he doesnt expect me to. He's the only one who genuinely cares about our safety. Therefore, I'll give him a huge $$tip$$ come Christmas . It's a shame that there are not more bouncers like him. We should not have to fear the walk from work to the car.

When I first worked here I tried to tip the bouncer five bucks when he walked me out on my first night because he had to show me how to get out through the back. But he refused to take my tip. I've tried, but these guys don't seem to be taking the hint that it is scary for us to walk out alone (except for the new bouncer who always walks me). Ah well, when the Good Bouncer gets $50. for Christmas the rest of the bouncers will all be wondering why. Maybe that'll "inspire" them?
