Default I bet none of you ladies would wear this...

OK, get this. A woman just left my store, she was in with her four boys, all from 10 to 15 years old or so. She was not all that hot, like a bit heavy but still chunky sexy, in her late thirties maybe, not bad but not a hottie anymore, know what I mean?

So anyway she is wearing tight Budweiser sweat pants and a tight T shirt. When she walks away I realize that on the back of the shirt are is the slogan, "BUILT TO GRIND".

I bet most people have no idea what the shirt means, but you know what I immediately thought?

"None of the strippers I know would wear that shirt when they are with their kids driving around town in the role of "Mom".

    Am I right?

It is not that I thought the shirt was so bad but just that she was being Mom at the time that kind of got me, know what I mean?

I agree most dancers have too much class to wear that shirt with the kids.
Possible ways it could be worn w/o your interpretation of the word.
    1. Skateboard fan. Ty[e grind in the msn search and the first thing you get is a bad movie by that name.
    2. Works selling coffee, ie grinding coffee beans or likes the association of coffee job and sexual innuendo.
3 you grind glass and metal too. Pepper is unlikely as are cheese.
    4. It's hubbies and it is laundry day (also explains misfit)
5 One of the kid is into skateboards and 4.
6 Total flake who has no idea of any interpretation.

Ps on #5 I eas going to abbreviate laundry day as LD but thought you might think lap dance.

He he heing all the way to the Thesaurus.

I wore my bright yellow playboy shirt to the grocery store once this summer..lol...I brought my 4 kids with me..My oldest girls were like those ladie's are whispering and giving you dirty looks mom. It must have been the porn star looking.. platinum hair, plus the shirt that did me in. I guess it did make me look kinda ghetto..but I make sure not to wear anything remotely sexy around town anymore....lol

It's a skateboard shirt, xmarx. My little skater friend Joey has one. But I don't think big momma was "born to grind".

    BUT cha neva eva know.

    Juliettte,

Are you insinuating that I simply have a dirty mind?

Well I never! I resemble that remark.

It's funny how u mention about this xmarx52 because I've seen it around here so many times.

Actually it's the dancers who wear skimmy clothes outside the club having the "dancer" look. Everyone who seems her would assume shes a porn actoress, prostituion nor stripper. A lot of times dancers try to hide their profession but they are giving it out with their look! lol

Several including me would look like ourselves by looking plain without make up or whatever. We may wear skimmy clothes but it would not reveal we are dancers u know what I mean? I do this because I dont wanna be harass by those preverts outside the club (whether they're customers or not).

I'm very conservative, hair in a ponytail and no makeup outside the club. But the walk gives me away. I can't get rid of the stripper walk.

    Saphire,
I think it was a typo, and she meant skimpy clothes. LOL

Xmarx, my mom hates the way I dress away from work, shorty T-shirts and hip hugger jeans. But, I don't think it's any different than any other 20 something. Of course, I hate the way she looks like a slob, so maybe it's a generational thing?

Zofia, I am sure I would LOVE the way you dress too it was just that this was a Mom with her boys with her and I would kind of think it embarassed the boys. Not to mention this Momma was a bit big for the outfit if you know what I mean.

Outside the club I rarely dress in anything other than comfortable pants (terry cloth pants, sweats, or jeans) and a tank or large t-shirt. My hair is always in a pony-tail or bun and I hardly ever wear make-up (if I do, it's like mascara and lipgloss).

I don't understand these girls that are a dead give away for strippers. Maybe it's just because we have that sixth sense and we can spot them out of a crowd in a 10 mile radius but this girl who came into the 1 Stop Stripper Shop (as it's so affectionately called around here) and I was not impressed with her look. It wasn't even her clothes she looked fine, jeans and a t-shirt but she had the big hair going and even her false lashes on. Now I know that she could have been on her way to work or whatever so I wasn't going to jump to conclusions but me and her started talking and she said she was on her way to school she was just coming to grab some shoes she had on hold. I was amazed I would never go to school like that.

Just my humble opinion, don't want to offend anyone.

yup, you've got my number when I'm "off duty" - no makeup, pony tail, 2XL tee shirts or sweatshirts, and baggy jeans or baggy shorts with ankle socks and sneakers! Any time I wear anything on the street that is the least bit fashionable or form fitting, the pervs come out of the woodwork like termites! However, when the temperature gets over 90 degrees, I wear as little as I can get away with to try and stay cool, despite having to deal with the assholes.

I was just minding my own business working in my garden, and a whole gang of electric company workers just happened to decide to park their bucket trucks right in front of my house for a lunch break!

I'm only 21, so I think that makes me more liberal, so I would probably wear that(if it were comfortable). Not if I was a fat ass though. If I were like 38 or something I'd probably have gone more through life with the outcome being a conservative attitude. Then it's true, I wouldn't wear it. Does this make sense to anyone???

Even before I became a dancer people always pegged me for one, or since I wasn't then and said no they said a model. I always, even now, get stripper or model or the whole where are you from thing? I think its not the clothes b/c I dress in a myriad of ways ranging from super conservative multipiece suits with just a cool purse to Hilton Style Hoochie( u know how paris and nikki dress), I really think its my shoes and general attitude. I've been a fan of Tonys Shoes and Pleasers line of woods for years and years and I think thats what its been for me.
I also think that for lots of other people the glammed out, sexy look is too much for most people to handle and they think the whole, are u a dancer? thing, is an appropriate question or that it should be taken as a compliment. Sometimes its just meant to offend. Case in point girl tries on shirt in gadzooks and ask sales boy and girl so whaddaya think, they say look cute and fits right. Other lady in store says, its cute, kinda tight though. Very next thing outta her mouth, are u a dancer? The girl just says no are u and the lady goes hell no why would u ask me that? Is that not the same question she asks this girl and now she's all offended? To me clothes are clothes and as long as no unintended areas are hanging out of their own accord ie boobs, stomach fat, back fat, cellulite and the list goes on, then everything is fine.
