    Default Stage Names

Just wondering if any of you ladies have noticed if there has been an impact on your potential earnings due in part to your chosen stage name? For example a traditional name like "Dianne" as opposed to a more contrived name like "Tiger" or "Star".

I've wondered if I might make more by using a more "approachable" name like Erika or something.

My name helps my earnings, I think. Contrived names don't do as well, unless it's an inbetween like Pixie. But of course it has less to do with names than the dancers.

I think it's helpful to have a name that is easy to remember, that way if they come back they can have you paged. In a big club like mine it would be hard for the customer to just run into a girl they were looking for.

Great replies and points. So I guess you would want to balance the name so that it is classy, easy to remember and somehow endearing. Tough no doubt!

Erika is a very nice-- give it a shot and see if it helps!

I think the stage name you have can have an impact on the money you make. An name that's easy to remember and has sex appeal is aplus. If you can also find songs that have your stage name in it can help. I use the name sugar and there's a song I dance to that says "sugar how u get so fly" the costomer will probably remember my since I pretty much brain washed him. I think I got off the subject a little but the point is choose a name that fits your personality and make it work to your benefit no matter what it is. Happy hustling!

Default Charity get ready for ...

"Do you begin at home or end up there?"
    "I gave at the office"
And last but not least--the 1969 Bob Fosse movie turkey staring Shirley MacClaine whose plot is summarized on imdb as
"Taxi dancer Charity continues to have Faith in the human race despite apparently endless disappointments at its hands, and Hope that she will finally meet the nice young man to romance her away from her sleazy life. Maybe, just maybe, handsome Oscar will be the one to do it."

Actually I stink at remembering names but do not think I would forget that one. Too many bad joke possibilities.

Personally, stage names like Gargantuan or Rasputin always leaves me a-flutter

"And now on stage we have the lovely Rasputin. She is a pistol, men! Just try shooting her, then poisoning her, then, drowning her, then strangling her. She can take anything! Not only does she give killer lap dances, she has the entire Romanov Family under her thumb! Give it up for ....Rasputin!"

LOL!!!!! HA HA HA!!! (to Prester John) that guy rasputin is soooo ugly, he's like marilyn manson's wet dream!!! i like gertrude, bertha also!(anything that reminds you of the comforts of grandma!!!)-- i pondered 'Sage', as in the spice/herb...anywhoo it would be like," sage to stage..." NO. think of names that are going to sound good, not become jokes, take that name for a test drive around friends! and here for that matter! if it can be misconstrued, made fun of, ect....your friends are the ones to help!!!! good luck--there's another thread on this subject somewhere else too --.

What about names after obscure anime characters or sci-fi female character names (that don't sound too out-there)
    Do they do well?

Kobi hit the nail on the head; Names that are easy to remember...

I think an "out there" name is OK as long as it's easy to pronounce and easy to remember. I think sometimes girls get carried away with these flowy/flowery names that are supposed to sound classy. LIke they're trying to make up an original name along the lines of Alexandria or Vanessa. But when names get too off the wall, the guys don't remember, they indavertently ask for the wrong girl, and *poof* there goes your money!

Do you think names of a place or a name that represents some kind of 'thing' is easier to remember?

Sure. As long as it's something your typical person has heard of.

Your name should be whatever your comfortable with. If you want something off the wall then go for it! Who knows? maybe you'll add new meaning to the word!

Chloe is more feminine, Riley is interchangeable. I like Riley better. They are both beautiful names.

neptune, i think the names of things and places ARE easier to remember (imho), i can think back and always remember those, i beleive others will too. are you thinking of using neptune? i knew a dancer named jupiter...easy to remember(despite the fact this is the BIGGEST planet--luckily said girl was not!) so use wisely. i've thought of state names, nature(things, seasons-LOL-) stuff like that, or short "real" names!
~PS to nina: interchangeable i beleive is fem/or male! like jerry, tracy, jo...ect

Ok...this is a little off topic, but my sister...who danced by Brittney....used to have a fake real name. She'd joke around with them to get out of telling them her real name. when they asked she's say it was Anita. Then theyed look at her kinda funny and she'd say "yeah...Anita Porshe " Or Anita Dance or something crazy like that. I thought it was kinda cute. Anyway, Ive always liked to use names that are unisex. We have an Alexandra, a Samantha And a Danielle. This way if when a guy goes home he can tell his wife/ girlfeiend he went to hang out with Alex, Sam and Dan

Actually, I wasn't thinking of using Neptune as a stagename because even though I use it on this board.... I wouldn't want the customers putting the joke on me about being in Outer Space....
