    Default Kind of different.....

I was talking to a couple of friends the other day and I noticed something different for once we weren't talking about the worst things that have happened at work. I thought that might me a neat topic to ask here.

So what was your best night ever can be your favorite customer that did something for you or the most money you ever made or even the costume that you felt the best in?

Not a customer but a professional dancer approached me in the dressing room and said, "Dreamer, I'm impressed by you. Each time you come in you do something different and are fully prepared. I've been doing the same routine for three years. Don't you get tired of me? You're my inspiration and I look up to you."
This is a girl who works professionally, has her own class, and just finished a tour with "Jane's Addiction" speaking to a guy who just nightlifes as a dancer.
I told her I never get tired of her dancing and she inspires me. I get compliments frequently but not one's like this coming from such respected people that often.

I was pulling a day shift and it really hadn't been going too spectacular. Toward the end of my shift, as girls trickled in, so did some guy who apparently had more money than brain cells. I failed to notice, or maybe I just didn't need act stupid for his money.

About that time, an older *gentleman* named Don (he was so awesome, I remember) came in. He had a horse shoe or something on his shirt, and we got to talking. I sat with him after my stage set and we chatted. Turns out he runs a farrier supply company. Neato. Well he starts asking if I do private dances to which I say of course, and we head off. I do one dance for him, and start to get dressed, thinking I'm onstage. He hands me $100, and says "That's one, you owe me four more."

Well as it turns out, I got bumped down in line and went back to give him his four remaining dances. The whole time he sat there and complimented me!!! I was really sweet, he just genuinely adored woman, and me in particular! He told me about a favorite of his in Canada, that had gotten boobs, courteousy of her club, and in his opinion ruined her beautiful natural boobies. Now, apparently contact is okay at that club, and he felt them after the one started leaking.

Now here I am, with a guy who is maybe a day or two from Canada, where he can get a lot more, spending money on me, and not trying to pull anything. Awww!!!

So this "big spender" jerk has half the girls just fawning over him. He's giving them fistfuls of "Star Bucks" ($5 cards so customers can use credit cards). He gave the DJ $200 to play some "techno" and it so happened that it was during my set. Does he tip me? The girl stuck dancing to his crappy song selection. Nope.

I checked out with the manager and he asked if I got any of "big spenders" money. I told him no, but the money I did get felt much, much better!!!

The very, very first time I ever went in to audition at a club was my best experience. I was extremely nervous. I walked into a club during the day shift and there was barely anyone there. The hostess showed me to the locker room and told me to change and come downstairs. While I was still putting on my outfit she runs back into the room and tells me to hurry up and get downstairs. I was shaking. Apparently a big spender walked in and the hostess thought I'd be his type. So I get on stage and I'm shaking. I never even walked into a strip club before let alone danced. I start dancing and got into the second song when the hostess walks up to me, puts a 20 in my thong and points out a guy I should go talk to. So I get dressed and walk over to the guy and not even sure what to say. Luckily as soon as I sat down next to him he started talking up a storm. Next thing I know he's asking me if the club has VIP rooms. I didn't even know what they were. So I call the hostess over and she takes us into the VIP room. He kept me in there for 4 hours and all we did was talk. He told me about his family, wife, kids. All I did was smile and nod. He tipped me close to 2000 and I was on cloud nine. Never again did I bump into such a nice and generous customer.

Wow RitzyGlitzy that is totally fucking awesome.

I have yet to start dancing so I don't have anything to say on the topic.

My best days dancing is when a guy (firefighter to be exact) kept giving me 100$ for every private dance I did, and he bought a lot of them. It was a fun night because I didnt have to worry about the money the rest of the night. Also another good night a sorta regular tipped me 5 $100 bills while I was on main stage ( at the club it is in the center of the club surrounded by corner stages and only one was being used, so the attention was on me) I know a few dancers saw that I had made 500$ in one set and where quite jeolous, and it felt good

I was talking with a customer between sets and I had told him that I was saving for a car. He handed me a $100 bill. I freaked! It really made my night. Another time, I was talking with a customer and he (ahem) loved the fact that I did not groom in a certain area and after my getting off the stage, he handed me a check signed and made out for $100. I cashed it at a local location of his bank and it was good! You just never know who you are talking, too!

One of my favorite nights was a slow weeknight. A bunch of firefighters came in right after their tour ended, and it was pay day. I got a couple of couch dances from the guys, then they bought a VIP for one of their buddies. Frankly the guy looked a little nervous. Anyway, I took him to the VIP room and started my dance. As soon as I was grinding on his lap, I felt that he was not getting a hardon. Well, that's cool. So I backed off a little and finished the first song.

I sat down to talk to him a little and he just starts pouring out his heart, apologizing because I didn't turn him on. Hey, I'm cool with that, you know not everybode appeals to everyone else. I asked him if there was someone else he would like to have dance for him. Then he starts staring at the floor.

At this point, I gave the guy a hug and was going to say that clubbing just isn't for everyone. But, he looks at me and says, "nobody knows this...but I'm gay." I said "they'll never learn it from me, what goes on in the VIP room stays here." He looked so relieved. It turns out he'd gone to the club because he was afraid the guys would find out he was gay if he didn't. He blew a couple of hundred dollars that night on conversation in the VIP and was just about the sweetest guy I've ever met. He became a regular after that and I could count on him spending a couple of hundred every payday. We'd go to the VIP room, order dinner from the kitchen and talk.

He came to my retirement bash the last week I worked. He gave me a really nice present. One of the other firefighters pulled me aside and asked about the guy because they never saw him date or anything, just do long VIPs with me. I teased him a little and swore up and down that we didn't do anything "illegal" in the VIP room. Of course, I made my voice sound like it was extra city with me and him.

Here's my story... I was working in the shittiest dive bar in new england. This guy comes in... very white collar businiess dude. I didn't even bother... that's how bad the night was. He came to me and said, "what's the most money you have ever made in this club?" I said, "$700" (this club sucks... keep that in mind) So I go up for my next stage set and he hands me $1400. I almost shit myself. Then he gave me his room key at the Ritz and left. Obviously I didn't go but I did leave a message at the hotel for him saying thank you and to stop by if he was in town again. Weird, huh? Ok, I got one more... my friend and I were going to Montreal for a long weekend last december. We didn't make hotel reservations so we decided to just "wing it" and find somehting when we got there. We were sitting with a regular who we loved, and telling him about our plans and the next day he came in with a business card and a confirmation number. He had booked a 5 star hotel for 3 nights in Montreal for us. Total surprise and so cool of him!

I got hired at this horrible club, but it was the club where all the money was in town. The manager tells me that if I pull in less than three hundred dollars in champagne rooms I'm out. Talk to the other girls and find out he's for real - new girls that don't make him three bills are fired and long time girls are suspended. I'm like, oh shit. I haven't danced in a few months, I've got an extra few pounds, I am screwed.

So I get on stage and this guy tips me a twenty and is like, I'm heading upstairs now so I'll have first dibs on you in the champagne room. By the time I make it around the stage and get off stage, I go upstairs with a customer who wants a room with me and the people that take the money are like, you'll have to get in line, these other two have already paid for rooms with her.

When I get out of the room with the second guy, he get's back in line and gets an hour room and gives me this incredible back rub and then tips me three hundred dollars.

Then there are customers that are just sitting in the vip area watching who's doing dances and rooms. A few of them want dances with me and one ends up doing an hour room with me. And tipping me well.

I wound up making the club close to a thousand dollars that night, and making more money for me, and the customers were almost all well behaved gentlemen :-)

It seems that alot of your stories revolve around a great customer who took a little time to notice you. It is great to know that there are still some gentlemen out there that not only remember that this is a job/fantasy. Sometimes it is nice to know that the gentleman breed is still alive somewhere. I remember sitting at my grandfathers knee and hearing him talk about the old days and the way that he courted my grandmother, sometimes it seems like a forgotten time.

It is also good to know that sometimes you can start work and there are actually nice people that work there that are willing to help you and not just trying to make you fall on your face.

It seems that sometimes we get so caught up in our everyday selves that we forget the feelings we get just helping someone else out with just a kind word. Please forgive the dramatic tirade it has just been nice reading that there are still kind people out there in this quick paced day.

I have gotten lots of compliments since dancing (as every dancer does) but one really sticks out in my mind. This girl from Vegas just started working at our club. Well I was on stage doing my set, and another dancer tells me this Vegas dancer stopped in her tracks and asked " Who is THAT??!!She is beautiful!" For some reason this really made me feel really good. To think this be vegas dancer with so much experience would think I was a great stripper really is touching.
