Default First Time on November 1st Any Advice

    Hi All....

Thanks for letting me know that it isn't that scary. I am working my way up to dancing the first time at the beginning of November want to finish toning up for that . I am a little scared ....do any of you ladies have some tips for a first timer?

Stumbled here by accident and glad I did ..... didn't know who to talk to about doing this the first time ...

Don't expect to make great money at first. Like any job, it takes time to get the hang of it. If you haven't already, read the articles and the forums for lots of good advice.

    Good Luck!

I remember when I first decided to dance "for real this time" I gave myself 30 days too....funny that you should do the same thing.

Well, this is what happened. I reached my epiphany on April 22, 2002. I was going to do it on weekends. I figured I was going to hate it, so I still wanted to keep my day job.

I started working out and tanning (not realizing that these really aren't that significant of changes and could have been done while dancing, but whatever....) I searched a lot of stuff on the web. This website would have been a lot of help back then, but it really hadn't taken off. I still found lots of good stuff. I did an amateur night on May 15th (got anxious) and I didn't win or get hired, but I got over some of the nerves.

I auditioned at other clubs. I got hired at the one I'm working at now and did a day shift. it sucked, but it was nice since most of the time there were no customers and I could get used to it.

That was my only day shift. I started to get the hang of it...selling dances. One thing I wish I had known is that I could have milked the "new girl" thing for a lot of money.

What web sites did you use? I am in the middle of meeting my requirements to dance as well and would like all the information and help I can get my hands on. I haven't set a definite date yet, but I hope to be ready by the end of the year at the latest.

sunshine247, the best advice I have received to my post in the ladies general board is to loosen up, remember to smile at customers, use your newness to your advantage, and have fun.

Take everything with a grain of salt. Clubs differ from city to city, club to club. Experiences differ from one girl to another. What works for one may or may not work for you. Do what you're most comfortable with and what you see the customers reacting best to. Don't let anyone pressure you to do anything you don't want or aren't comfortable with. SMILE. Have fun with it, but remember you're there to make money, not to socialize or get dates. Recognize that you are a beautiful creature, learn what is most beautiful about YOU, and work it! Don't take anything anyone says to you at the club too seriously - most of it is BS.

    Have fun and good luck!

Definately not a problem, I am married. Although, I do like to get to know people and make new friends.
