    Default Help???

Okay, Ladies, I'm new here. I'm not even dancing, yet... but I really want to. I need all the advice I can get, and I've spent hours on this site just reading, but I still can't shake the feeling that I need more info. :-/ So here goes with a few questions off the top of my head....

*I have stretch marks, are they going to keep me from being hired? I can cover them up, but they still show through a bit... They're only on my tummy (2 kids).
*Hair...up or down? Mine's wavy and brunette down to the bottom of the shoulder blade.
*I'm TALL (5'10"), what outfits look the most flattering? I have REALLY long legs (36" inseam) and a shorter upper body.
*I'm a bit on the twigly side, is this an issue? I weigh 124, a bit light for my height.
*Okay, last one for now (I know I'll think of more later), What about my kitty...I've read it all, shave, wax, don't shave, don't wax, I've thought about waxing, but is it better to do all or leave some?
    Thanks in Advance ladies...
    Bright Blessings,

Even the most perfect bodies have stretch marks. Some more than others. Its a right of womanhood. Clubs are usually too dark to see these. I wouldn't worry about it.

I think men like hair down, unless you are doing the schoolgirl/pigtails thing (which works no matter how overdone it is), or some other role-playing scenario.

I'm 5'1" so I can't help you with the most flattering clothes for your type. I know a tall skinny girl who wears thigh high boots and it looks awesome. I can't pull that off. I also think thigh high tights, especially fishnet, are hot on tall skinny girls. Just know that you can't please everyone. Guys have very different tastes. One guy will want a short athletic girl, while his friend only likes 5'10" , 124 pound brunettes. Some guys like us all. Just be confidant in who you are.

I shave all of my kitty. I tried waxing myself once and it hurt. Bad. Again, guys have different tastes. Do what makes you and your kitty happy. There was a girl at my old club who didn't even trim down there and she had lots of dark hair coming out of her thong. [puke] It was really unattractive. I think some trimming is neccesary. It is up to you.

Have you gone to any clubs to watch the girls? You could learn a lot of what to do and what not to do. Know your limits before you jump in. Where are you going to let them touch you, if you do let them at all? Are you going to dance topless or nude? How much of your private life are you going to tell customers? Do you have a plan to save your money? These are all questions you should ask yourself before you start. Be prepared for negative comments from your community, family, and friends. The hardest thing for me is living with the stripper stereotypes that people believe in. Thankfully my friends and family are supportive.

Most importantly, be confidant and have fun. I think the girls that make the most $$ are happy and enjoy their job. Good Luck!

Most of the answers will kind of depend on the type of club, and what part of the country you are in.

I've seen girls with stretch marks. It didn't keep them from getting hired or making decent money.

Wear your hair down. Most guys prefer it that way. I've got wavy hair as well and it seems to be a real turn on for some guys.

Outfits definitely depends on the club. Sounds like you have a model's body, thin with long legs. You might play that look up. A two-piece outfit would make your upper body look longer and be flattering, and if you think your legs look too long, you could try dresses a little longer than what most dancers wear. Without knowing the type of club, it's hard to say.

I assume you're planning on working in a nude club? Sorry, I can't help there. I too have heard all different stories about guy's preferences.

    Good Luck!

Everyone else got most of the questions.

Hair definitely down. A lot of girls straighten their hair, but I prefer to scrunch it up so it's all curly and wild.

Shaving - whatever your comfy with. But whatever you do, start doing it now because it will take a little while for the irritation to go away.

Being skinny... what's skinny to normal people is perfect for a stripper. Long legs is a big plus.

Outfits... without seeing you, a two peice shorts and top set will show off your nice long legs and your flat tummy.

Thanks BUNCHES ladies. I am planning on going soon to check a few places out in hopes that I will get an idea of what the "norm" is as far as grooming. All the clubs here are nude. I am going to try the fake tanning stuff to see if that would help with the stretch marks. I got some concealers and makeup, but I am rather pale ao event those show up dark. I don't want to glow in the blacklights, so I better do something I think a tan and a two peice shorts set would look great...
another question....shoes: plastic sole spike 6" heel with 2" platform is what I am looking at (on snaz75.com), does this sound good? I figured oon black pair and a white pair to start out. I'm not too worried about balance, I can walk in pretty much any heel. Thoughts? Comments?
Oh, and has anyone tried "Toma's Tan Perfect"? Still lookin for a great fake tan

    I hope this helps,
i was channel surfing the other day when i saw a hooters 20 years? Not sure how many now, but 100 ladies are competeing. They showed back stage, and a couple ladies had stretch marks (alot) on their thighs, another lady was using a cover stick all over her back thighs. I noticed my share of them when they walked around had stretch marks.

And these ladies where picked out of MANY who wanted to compete. Not one person is perfect.

I LOVE reading US or People mag. I see the stars in their natural state, and don't know who the hell they are untill i read!!!!

Makes one feel good to know it takes them many $$$$ and many hours just to look the way they do when we see them acting! Just goes to show we are all beautiful, it's a fact.

You know, I think a tall, thin girl with great legs always looks killer in a minidress. It kind of fills out her shape and emphasizes the long legs. Also, those open-front robes look good on tall women. Again, if you're worried about being light, they give the illusion of more curves and emphasize those you have.

Wear your hair however you like - I find I make more money with mine down, but like a change every now and again. I think guys like to see lots of sexy hair swinging around, it's feminine.

As far as staple clothing items, I would say t-backs in the main colors (black, white, and whatever colors you wear most), a couple of good pairs of shoes in either the basic colors or clear, and a good minidress in your favorite color to get started. Then toss in a long dress, a bikini, and a two-piece outfit, and you're pretty much ready to go accessorize. Don't worry about buying a lot of stuff right now, you'll get ideas of what you want and places to shop from the other girls and also you'll find out what makes money in your club.

    Good luck!

I've been through hell with the self tanners and I now use mystic tan. It's darker, lasts longer, isn't orange or yellow or anything, and I don't have to worry about applying it evenly or not touching anything or any of that stuff.

I wear the old fashioned stillettos, that kill my feet, but then again, I have a hard time with platforms shoes. The Pleasers line is VERY comfortable and there are many styles to choose from.

Everyone has to start somewhere when they begin to dance. Go get two simple outfits, a two piece and a dress of some sort, and some comfy shoes that have some sort of heel to start. Once you start, you will have some money to build your wardrobe and your own individual style. Try to be as comfy as possible, because for the first couple of weeks, you will be sore and your knees will hurt, you are using muscles that aren't used to be used on a regular basis. Start streching now, 15 minutes in front of the TV a day will help you adjust quicker.

I love dancers that just start. They look a little awkward for a while, then one day, about a month later, POOF! the tranformation takes place and you barely recognise them!!!

**OUTFITS**-Mini dresses (compliments legs), Thigh high boots (they just look really hot on long legs), and long sheer jackets (another thing I have noticed that looks really hot with long legs)
**STRETCH MARKS**-my belly, butt, legs etc have them, I still make good $$$. Don't worry about them. If you want to wear outfits that cover them when you walk around the club, do it. I have tried using make-up to cover them! It's not worth it! Let your true beauty shine! Usually it's pretty dark anyway, so don't stress too hard. Try to focus on your dancing abilities, play up you talents! If you look like you have confidence that's what matters.
**HAIR**-Most men like it down (from my experiences), but you can wear it up if you have a special way or 2 that you like. (I personally like hair up with hoop earrings or those long, shiny, straight dangle earrings)
**SHOES**-Wear what is the most comfy and attractive. All dancing shoes will hurt (especially when you are on your feet for hours!). They need to be broken in like any other shoes. I prefer platforms, and thigh high boots. Black and white go with everything, and get a pair of something flashy (silver, clear, colorful, glittery, etc.)
**TAN**-I am not tan. I am a natural redhead with very pale skin and that is part of my trademark, but most girls look really good with a tan. I hate tan lines whether intentional or not (like the ones you can get under your butt cheeks!) A tan, whether a good fake one or real, will make you look healthy and it will look awesome with white outfits. I don't know what fake tan products to use because I have never tried them
**TWIGGY**-As long as you look healthy and fit your fine in this area

Meadow, Thanks so much for your post, and everyone else, thank you as well.... I was going to go last week and check out a few clubs, but have post-poned until this Friday... I don't know why, but going to the clubs to check them out is the part I am most nervous about... I guess it's because that's when you make your 1st impression, and I know that you can't take that back, so I really want to make a good one!!! I love chatting and good intellegent conversation (though I know I won't always get it) and I love being checked out, so I am hugely excited about all of this. I just hope I can do okay... Ladies, guys, whoever...whatever advise that comes to mind when you think of what a new stripper MUST know when she starts out, please...please post it!
    I love this site
