Sounds like one hell of a good deal to me. Basicly a 2000 dollar a year bonus. That ain't hay.

As for the girl who would rather know where to buy jeans for half price, I think places like Wal Mart are more f*cking evil than any strip club could ever hope to be. At least a stip club does not pretend to be something it is not.

I work for one of the clubs this company owns, however my club is situated across the border from Windsor in Detroit.

I do not know how the operation is run in Canada, but at my club it is definitely not publicized that thew club will reimburse tuition, nor do I know of any dancers that have ever taken advantage of it. I believe this offer is only for dancers in one of the affiliated Windsor clubs, if at all.

Management is the same at both clubs, yet we definitely do not get paid an hourly salary in addition to tips, as was mentioned in the article. I am a little skeptical about the validity of the article.

I should print out the article and my transcript for my manager this weekend when I go to work, lol. Acoording to the stipulations I should be making $10/hr and would get a reimbursement myself.

If anyone is interested, I work at one of the clubs owned by this company so I am sure that I could obtain additional information.

Kennedy-- The article refers to Leopard's Lounge in Windsor. This company also owns Cheetah's of Windsor, Danny's on the River, and the Toy Chest. I do not know if such an offer refers to the other affiliated bars.

I wonder what their screening process is like. I guess it's like any of these student loans. You'd be expected to serve a hitch until you've made it up to the company. What if you couldn't keep the GPA up or get fired for any reason. It's almost a sure bet they'll try collecting every last bit they invested in you.

    Wow.....
If I ever want to re;ocate, I know where to go...
Only for 10's? I doubt it, unless the company only has 10's working for them.

Wonder if there's contractual stuff involved.

    Wait a sec...the girls only get reimbursed $1500 to $2000 a year?

When I was in school, that pitiful amount of money wouldn't even pay for HALF of the tuition per quarter at the college I attended, not to mention the other fees like books, room and board, etc. If this club chain is offering to pay for tuition in order to entice more girls into dancing, they should be offering more like 15k to 20k per year.

The only reason I could see signing up for this deal would be the hourly pay rate the girls would be making. And for me personally, there are plenty of fully clothed $10 per hour jobs that I could take elsewhere.

Personally, this all sounds like a scam to me. And that's my $0.02.

NawtyGirl- As I understand it, college in Canada is largely subsidized by the government...if you're a Canadian citizen. $2000/year would pretty much pay for college there.

OMG! Why don't I live there!!! Uggh I would totally take advantage of that deal. But only if the clubs advertising were low contact clubs. But since they are in Canada I highly doubt that. I am kinda bummed that I didn't get any grants for school I only got a loan for 840 every quarter. But I'm very grateful for that anyway. The good thing though is I won't have a mountin of loans to pay off later. But I do have to pay 2220.00 every three months. Which isn't that bad but still sucks when you live on your own. I got to start saving for winter quarter.

Heresey, good luck at school. I think it is awsome you care about your grades. You seem like a bright girl form your posts and I know you can get A's with no problem . Good luck!
