Default Was this legit or common for Vegas?...

Had a curiosity question about something that happened to me at Olympic Garden in Vegas a couple of months back. Let me explain what happened first.

I was in town for business, and went in one Friday afternoon after work was done for the day. I'm hanging out for an hour or so, get a few dances from different girls, then this hot blonde comes over and sits down. We're talking for awhile and she must tell me 4-5 times how cute she thinks I am. I eventually get a couple of pretty hot dances from her, and she goes on her way.

About 30 minutes later she comes back, we're hanging out, talking some more, and she asks me what I'm doing later. I tell her nothing good, and she says that every now and then she'll bring home a guy from there to play with her and her bi roommate (female of course, also a dancer there), if she's really attracted to them. Now I'm pretty young (late 20's) and know I'm fairly good looking, but this sort of thing doesn't exactly happen every day. Also, I'm married and tell her this. It doesn't seem to change her mind as her response was "if she's not here, then how would she ever find out?".

To make a long story short, I didn't do anything with her and ended up giving her a fake phone number to call after her shift was over.

Question is, could this have been a legit offer or does this sort of thing happen in Vegas where the girl(s) expects to get paid at the end of the evening? I didn't want to insult the girl by asking her if she was an escort on the side, but the thought definately crossed my mind at the time.

dude. i've been dancing five years, and i've seen damn near everything, but i've gotta ask myself . . . .

how friggin DUMB does a girl have to be to throw that kind of a line to a customer she doesn't even know? i mean, geez . . . . what if the guy's a vice cop? i'm sorry, but i want to go find this girl and whack her upside the head.

okay, she could have just been coming onto you. maybe?

Yep, common enough in Vegas, especially now that the girls aren't making money there like they used to. She would have charged you.

As a general rule I would say that any time you find yourself in a situation like that and you are not an actor in a porno movie or reading a letter in Penthouse Forum, there will be money involved. Darn it, reality bites huh?

Lena is exactly right. Now that there is a higher degree of "scrutiny" in regard to Vegas club busts, as is already the case in lots of other cities, many dancers who have seen their inside the club earnings tumble now look to supplement it outside the club.

The first go-round of dances with this girl basically served the purpose of finding out if you were in fact a travelling businessman who might be interested in some "paid companionship", versus an undercover cop. This is why the subject of an "after hours" encounter didn't come up until 30 minutes later.

This type of thing happens somewhat frequently in Las Vegas. Sometimes it is legit i.e., they really are interested in you, but most of the time they expect some type of financial compensation.

I’ve had a least a ½ dozen of these types of offers from LV dancers over the years. Two of them were legitimate, but the rest were for money. I ask them up front if this is business or pleasure. A dancer in LV won’t be insulted by that question. If it is business, they will say so, if it is pleasure, they won’t be insulted because they know there are a number of dancers in LV who do after hours work.

And if I were married, it wouldn’t matter either way because I would have done they same thing you did.

Maybe because some of us don't feel there is anything wrong with a married guy getting lap dances. It's not sex, it's not an affair, it's all in fun. Personally, I see nothing wrong with a married man (or woman) buying a lap dance.

Of course, everything in moderation. If a married guy is spending a lot of time and money in a strip club, then there is a problem.

I dont know if the dancers would like that all too much. At my club, if the married guys stopped coming in, there probably wouldnt be more than 5 customers in the house at any given time :o Not conducive for making money.
Once again I have embraced my addiction and have put off the moral dilemma to another day.

What you experienced happens all the time in clubs all over the country.

The girl probed you and saw you were a target customer for paid sex outside the club. Lots of dancers ask customers if they want a "date" when they get off work.

Many customers want sex from girls that turn them on in the club and seeing that you had money and were from out of town assumed that you were a good trick.

I'm speaking from the point of view of the wife-if I were a female married to a guy and he went to clubs I'd be very unhappy

Well, I'd be unhappy too if he didn't bring me along so I can get dances myself.

Thanks for the responses, figured it was a hustle but just wanted some expert opinions. In my younger, single days I had legit hook-ups with several dancers (never in Vegas) but they all started off with drinks or dinner or a movie, never had anyone be so forward as that girl which kind of set off sirens for me.

As for "should a married guy be getting dances", I don't see what the big deal is. I only go to clubs when I'm out of town, the wife is cool with it, and has actually told me she'd rather I go to SC's than meat market night clubs when I'm on the road, because the chance of someone wanting to take me home is less...didn't tell her about this particular episode though. IMO as long as you're a gentleman, don't try and grope the dancer, and treat them with some respect, then it's all harmless fun.

In the case of my wife it would depend on what I did in the club, rather than just my going to the club.

If I was with pals for a Bachelor party and we just watched the stage shows and hollared and hooted, my wife would be ok I think. As would I if the roles were reversed and she was at a male strip club.

But if I got a private lap dance, or I was not being a gentleman and was groping the ladies I would have my head handed to me on a platter when I got home.

Also if i was going to clubs every week and spending more than we could afford she would call me on it in a heartbeat. And I am willing to bet that if any of you ladies had husbands who were squandering your hard earned cash in a way that was over the top you would put your stilleto heeled, pretty little feet down too.

ah, Las Vegas, City of Sin- it didnt get it's name for nothing...

I wouldnt care if my husband went to strip clubs... because i trust him... and he knows i would kick his ass all the way back to Indiana...
he can look... but he better follow the rules, that's all. to me it's not cheating- but it's a personal definition.
