    and one more thing-

Even at the place I work (Lusty Lady), I get guys that think they get to come in and have sex with me once the $20 is in the meter, hehe. I even get guys that start pushing on the glass like it's supposed to come down and let them into my side of the pleasure booth. Kaiya (at the Lusty Lady San Francisco)

In cities where extras are more common this is how many guys will act.... these same guys travel and visit other clubs too and act the same way. Dancers are more and more being sexualy assulted at work by customers who expect and commonly get extras. They don't ask if its ok- they just touch, grab or insert fingers because they just assume if they pay it is ok :o And just where did they get the idea that this behavior is ok.... I really feel this matter of sexual assult becoming more common in clubs is a DIRECT result of extra dancers .

Think about that the next time you do an extra !
    [grr]

When I started dancing close to 10 years ago- contact was not common and extras were limited to the very bottom level clubs only. The more common contact became the common extras became and each step the customers became more demanding for sex acts. And now we have a whole group of customers who just touch etc right off the bat. Who is to blame for this- extra dancers thats who !

Extras just don't have any rightful place in stripclubs and neither do women who do their extras IN the club. Those kinds of activities belong in private homes or hotels

I know I am ranting here- but in club extra dancers just really burn me up with their "we aren't hurting anyone BS" That is exactly what that is too- TOTAL BULLSHIT.

It kills me how right this girl is.....

"That is not power- it is the easiest and laziest way to earn money in a club. That is light years behind real feminine power. "

I know you explained that extras are accepted in your club- that still doesn't make it legal- and the constant and flagrant braking of laws cause dancers everywhere- in every club and city problems. IN CLUB extras have had a major role in the overall decline of the industry.
If a dancer can't earn what she needs or wants to without extras such as HJ- she is in the wrong business. And if it is just a matter of wanting more $- take it out of the club or work for an agency or go to a legal brothel. To stay in the clubs turning tricks is just lazy and selfish.
If you're so comfortable prostituting yourself then why not just be an escort ? Or at the very least make arrangements to do your tricks outside of the club. If you're doing it in the club for security purposes then hire a bouncer.

There is no valid reason for in club extras. The extra money a dancer can make with tricks can still be made. You can still meet and screen clients in the club. Security for yourself can be easily arranged. And the legal risks for you and the john are much lower. And not that an extras dancer gives a rats ass about anyone else( if they did they wouldn't be doing in club extras in the first place) but the risk for others around you are eliminated as well.

Tigerlilly, I agree. Just cant beat that legality argument for those that have whatever take on the whole issue, just cant argue legality.

Never explain yourself to anyone, because the person who likes you doesn't need it and the person that dislikes you won't believe it.

I squirm a little over legality. I have been told, for instance, that grinding isn't legal in the town where one of my favorite clubs is. I don't know, and I'm not going to think about looking it up when a dancer starts to grind there. But I know that if the laws are fairly strict on contact, illegal stuff has gone on, with me, at the initiation of the dancer. Never anything that would cause fluid to leave my body or mr. johnson to check the weather outside, but probably illegal nonetheless.

But I guess I've come to see certain things, questionably legal, as part of a tacitly accepted club culture as opposed to what may be strictly legal. Different communities have different cultures, and that's why we might enjoy or stay away from a certain community.

Everything has it's time and place. This is an extreme but for instance,I don't take my clothes off in Walmart and I don't expect anyone to be ok with it.That is why Walmart is a store and not a strip club. And by the by I have been trying to get people aware of the problem in our work places...it's a slow prosses(similar to womens liberation).

If a girl or guy decides to have sex for money why not go into porn movie making or start their own service or go to the Bunny Ranch. You could be the next Jenna Jameison ect..And then it wouldn't effect any one but you.I know it's not a perfect world but I'm not gonna curl up and die.I've been stripping for 7 years and it has been a great stepping stone for me.I'm a soon to be land lady and a photogragher.I've never had to do extras and never will.I don't drink or do drugs either.
I try to help others and give my advice that's all.I think that's what this board is for also.I do'nt want to hurt anyone.I want to be positive and help others be positive as well(without pushing).

First, the crux of my post was in response to yet another re-birth of the "extras" issue. Noting that some members have declared that subject better left to FAQ's or other than the apparent uncivilized debate on the topic that goes on here( as we can all now see...again) I simply wanted to know whycertain members were silent on THAT issue when the anti-extra sentiment was raised. I did NOT mean to revive the whole "extras" debate. I am painfully aware that some of you (about half as shown on the last polling numbers) don't like the fact that extras are given. We are ALL aware of your half's attitude on the subject matter.

That is not power- it is the easiest and laziest way to earn money in a club. That is light years behind real feminine power.
    TigerLilly:
I was NOT referring to sociological "power" here--sorry if "power" is such a buzz word. Put in "ability" if you like.

There is no valid reason for in club extras. The extra money a dancer can make with tricks can still be made. You can still meet and screen clients in the club. And not that an extras dancer gives a rats ass about anyone else( if they did they wouldn't be doing in club extras in the first place) but the risk for others around you are eliminated as well.
I am NOT gonna run this debate again, unless you really want me to. Again, we GET your point.

When I started dancing close to 10 years ago- contact was not common and extras were limited to the very bottom level clubs only.
ROTFLMAO. Hon, the 90's were a LOT more relaxed than they are now--at least in Texas.

Again, Tiger, oh, just read above and let me kow if you really want to do this again...

I really feel this matter of sexual assult becoming more common in clubs is a DIRECT result of extra dancers
...and that is the same logic that the GP uses against ANY SOB's. GRRRRRRR!!!

Thank you TigerLilly.Could not have stated it better myself.
    Symone:
Maybe, but you did not answer my question. So, I will ask it again: How is mamagement "making money off" an extras dancer but not from the lap dancer?

Tigerlilly, I agree. Just cant beat that legality argument for those that have whatever take on the whole issue, just cant argue legality.
    Leigh:
That is too static of an argument. There are a LOT of things in this country which were once AGAINST the law. Our job is one of them. The person that cannot "argue legality" is a slave to the king, not a member of a democratic republic.

OK, maybe that's all I'll say on this topic--again, unless someone wants to raise it yet again.

I am quite aware that the club makes money off both types of girls. From the day a human is born someone is making money off of them.Example:the privledge to breathe tax.But If I want to work any where ....at a club a bar ect. some one is going to make money from me,But I don't need that tiffany necklace so bad I'd swing from zipper to zipper to get it.If you look at other posts I've left all throughout this site you'd have all the answers you'd need.I tire of repeating myself....but I am here to help.

Do you have a cause?Do you feel strongly about something?Do you feel that something is juct so unfair?Well that's how a lot of girls feel about extras. It boils down to cheating. When fr example you are playing a game do you cheat or try to win on your own merrit?Do you not beleive in yourself enough to win people over with just your personality, wit, even looks?Maybe I'm too proud.Life is hard and no one seems to care about anyone but themselves. It truely hasturned into a dog eat dog world.People have stopped striving to be the best human beings they could be.Without caring there are no rules.Without rules we might as well still be in the trees flinging poo at each other(kaos). There are reasonswhy prostitution is illegal. The feelings health and well being of our society (condems or not)(condems don't always work)are at risk.I think even in this Buisiness we should still try to be good and fair people.

Ok - tell me how extras have a rightful place in a strip club?

Tell me how extras dancers add quality to the industry- what positive things do they bring the majority employed in strip clubs.

Explain to me/us exactly how deliberately braking the law does not adversely hurt numerous dancers everywhere.

And since your so comfortable engaging in prostitution tell me why don't you work for a service or a NV brothel, why not porn or even photo spreads.

Why must you do illegal business in a place meant entirely for something else?

Go ahead- brake it down for us.

    On 2nd thought

Symone, I love your attitude, and you're hilarious too - "in the trees flinging poo" made me laugh seriously out loud!

That is one funny fuggin line, babe I love it.

We have run the extras into the ground, its old man, old.
