Ya know, this post is pretty redundant in that it has been addressed by other posts of the same or similar title.

I know, Dreamer, but she is a newbie member, so probably hasn't seen all those other threads.
There is a video by Fawnia or something like that, but it has gotten mixed reviews here, I have never seen it. The dancers here can tell you more about that.
If you are already proficient on the pole, and are looking for something unique and totally different, Circe du Soliel has some performers who do the most outrageous things on poles! I don't know which video(s), but am dying to check it out myself...
I have one trick I can do which i have never seen anyone else pull off, if you are really good at the pole you might be able to do it, but your club has to have a lower ceiling where the pole is, to make it work.
You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.

The Fawnia video is okay. There will be a couple things on there you haven't thought of or done, but nothing you ccouldn't figure out yourself (tho there is a pole handstand).
My favorite pole trick that I've only seen a couple other people do is to hang upside down from one leg, and lower (arch) the other leg down, so that your back is very arched, and do wavy, sensual things with your arms.

I love working the poles. good pole tricks take alot of practice and bruises. You can't be afraid to try things. warch other dancers tricks and put your own variations on them. if you have more than one pole to work with you can do all kinds of things. One of my favorite tricks, and one that got me alot of money was to stand between the two poles we had ( about 3 1/2 feet apart) and jump up, grab the poles, and flip over to do a split on the ceiling. It took alot of practice to get it down right but it sure as hell was worth it! As long as you are creative ant persistent, you don't need a video.

Okay I'll put a few cents in. When and if you go into advanced moves such as inverted, you should reguard pole dancing like extreme skateboarding. Some of those moves are intended for professionals only. Also ,you want someone around should you goof up and need an ambulance called in.
