Heya girls....
Well, I bit the bullet. This past Thursday I waltzed my little ass into Stage 2 in Cleveland and got hired for the night. (Okay, well, technically, they gave me a job, but the shift manager told me I could just leave after that first night since I was only in town for a few days....pretty nice on her part since she offered to vouch for me if the owner got pissed.)
Anyhow, long story short, thank god for nude clubs, which Stage 2 wasn't. I was a little disappointed that they were only topless, but figured what the hell, may as well ease myself into the business, right? Big boo-boo. They say there are always two sets of rules, those the club gives you and those that you work by. And boy, was there a chasm between the two in this place. The first thing I hear when I walk into the dressing room is "Yeah, I got caught suckin' customers off in the back room before....damn manager had to shut the VIP room down, said it was because he couldn't watch me! That bastard, he's just meaning to make me lose money." The girls were all pretty sweet, if it a bit rough around the edges; once I made it clear I wasn't after anyone's regular, and was only in town for the night, they all were extremely nice. One girl and her regular even tipped me at my audition.Being a Thursday night, this place was pretty dead. Only a few cheapskates and the girls' long-time regulars were in. (By cheapskates, I mean hearing things like "Aww, girl, show me them titties!" "I'm sorry, baby, I can't right now. I'll be up on stage in a few sets, or if you would like we can go to the corner and have a little more privacy." "Naw, girl, I just wanna see them titties, I don't wanna spend no cash for it!" High class boys, they were.)
The thing that killed me though was the blatant disregard for the rules. There was damn near full contact everywhere I looked, complete with fondling, licking and I'm quite sure some hands placed where they shouldn't have been on a customer's lap. I was chatting with the door man and he said that in any other club he'd worked in, he would have fired a girl for half the crap these girls pulled, except for the fact that here everyone was doing it. And it really showed; I did all my dances pretty clean, and only got one repeat dance. I can't really be bitter about it; I don't blame the guys for wanting to get as much contact as possible for the same price, and not wanting clean dances. But ya know, it kinda sucked nonetheless.
The end result is this: that night got me fired up and ready to go, because I knew I could do so much better than $60 in the right club. Stage 2 is definitely not the right place for me, but going in as a total newbie, it was a good experience. So many people on this board have been so helpful and awesome, but a lot of this stuff wouldn't sink in until I was in the thick of it all. Having been there and back, I can't wait to get started.
Thanks to everyone who helped me out and gave me advice (and Miss B, you're my hero!)....I'll be auditioning at my more permanent club tonight, so I'll let you all know what's up and how it goes ASAP.
