    Default Some questions???

How many parts are there to a complete feature costume? Are there specific guidelines I need to follow when designing them? When you buy these types of costumes you obviously choose them according to your particular tast and music style etc., Do you only go to local seamstresses for them or do you buyy them online?

I have made many pieces to costumes but have never done a complete set up but I am thinking of adding some sort of feature for thisat my site... are there any suggestions?

The bigger the better, and glamour lots of detail.

I have had them all custom made from drawings or sketchings I put together, and then colaborating with the costumer on the rest.

I tend to do all themes so that maybe something to keep in mind....alot of us like to do themes as a feature show.

Again the bigger the better more elaborate. Larger than life type thing.

Are we talking sequins beads and fearthers BIG or big as in multiple pieces?
How about the ease of removal? Velcro, zippers, snaps etc?

The most common feature costume is a skirt with either zipper or velcro, over one of those frilly things that makes the skirt stand out, usually trimmed in fabric that matches the skirt, a top, often a bodice type thing, over a matching bikini top (fitted cups usually done up with sequins), oh, with a matching thongs. Some outfits have matching hats, headpeices, headbands, hand bags, lunch boxes, leggings, etc.

Another really common one is the pants with zippers down the outsides of both legs.
