...was AWESOME!!I had a blast, made some pretty good money for my first night ($230 after a mandatory tip out of $15 to the house and other tips to the DJ and the bartendress) which was $200 more than I expected to make, LOL!!. Nearly half of that was made in stage tips which was ultra-cool because I ended up not having to do much hustling (but believe me, the girls gave me a crash course in hustling). Now, I know a lot of that has to do with me being new because I KNOW my stage show was a little "rough around the edges", especially when I was trying to untie my dress (I also tripped and had a fingernail break off while I was swinging on the pole, but luckily no was around to see that lol!!), but I'm proud of myself nonetheless.
The other dancers were extremely helpful and sweet (and gorgeous) introducing me to the regulars, showing me the ropes, buying my one and only shot, and making sure I was never by myself (until we got a swarm of biz from a Spurs game that had ended - my club is sports themed - but by that time, I was busy giving lap dances!!). I think I was most nervous going into the dressing room and getting onstage for the first time. But once I was on stage, I felt great and took off my dress with some encouragement from the other girls.
For the afternoon/evening I did 4 sets of 3 songs. Aerosmith's Crazy, Cryin' and I don't remember the 3rd song, got me through the first set, and Crazy & George Michael's Fast Love being the most popular. BOY I AM REALLY FEELING all that dancing today!! I could barely get to work to do my "day job". My legs are killing me :o
I did face a "no - I'm cool" from a guy whose friend was trying to get him a lap dance, but I was so proud of myself for not being bothered or letting that break my confidence. I just flirted with the other guy and got two dances off of him - yea!!
Ladies (and gents), I SO appreciate all of the advice and encouragement you've given me. For now, I've opted to do just weekends until my body can get used to that workout, but I will definately continue dancing.
You guys are the greatest!!
Amethyst
P.S. - I went with Syren for my stage name.

. Congratulations on your first night, hope it's not the last. Keep shakin' it and bringing down the house

Thats awesome. You'll be able to reach your goals much faster now that you've found dancing. Where did you keep your money when you danced. Did you carry a purse, tuck it under your garter belt, or did you make rounds to the dressing room?
