Thank you megan for a nice message in our worlds need of peace. I can use the word "hate" towards war.
I only hope it's over soon, and a better position takes over Iraq. And Osama, i hope we get him two. Kill them...NO. (but that seems to be the plan).
I pray for all involved to survive, but be brought to justice. And our troups to have mercy upon the ones who turn in their weapons to us.

I am so upset about the war, I do not condemn it, as I don't have enough information to judge, I just hate war...and hope everyone will be ok.![]()

Thanks Megan
I was upset to read the news banners on the t.v. last night that the U.S. has gone to war..
not to make light of the situation but my friends and i were hoping we didnt have to get involved...like what are we gonna do...get in our canoes and beat them with our snowshoes :o sorry to say but our canadian military is pathetic...u never hear of canada kicking ANYONES ASS
but i have my candles lit and i am definitely praying for everyone![]()
blessed be
Great post Megan,
We'll all pray for our guys and gals in the gulf. NYC is right back to checkpoints. Oh God not again...I know its a visible sign of our security, but man it is like WTC all over again.Tension, and ALOT of news coverage 24/7, and holding one's breath. God keep them safe, keep everyone safe...........
I was in a GC last night when it all started. It is the first time I can remember when the television has been able to take my attention from the dancers.
I am confused by the way that the White House and the press has promoted the war. I feel that the war is justifiable but the most commonly presented reasons do not stand up to inspection.
Good luck to all in the line of fire.
Thank you and come back soon. We need you here as well. It was completely weird being in an almost empty top-notch GC that is normally alive on a Wednesday night.
My props to the military as well. Holly you made me laugh in such a dark moment - thanks. As a fellow canuck I get the reference, our military not exactly threatening, but they deserve their honour as well, and stood shoulder to shoulder in previous conflicts and we have our heroes too.
I myself stand with the Americans if only in my own personal opinion even if Chretien decides otherwise (never did support him anyway). I dont agree with war who does..if at all possible but keeping abreast of everything as I try to do --understanding resolution 678 and 687 explains it all. IN any event if I had a canoe and snowshoes and it came right down to it, I'd do what I can with what I had! I know and would bet the farm that if we needed the support our Neighbors would be with us in a heartbeat.
Again, my prayers, hope and well wishes for a speedy end to all this conflict, peace.
LIVE LONG & PROSPER!

Never explain yourself to anyone, because the person who likes you doesn't need it and the person that dislikes you won't believe it.

Well, despite being an old married woman (LOL.....24) I have a VERY warm feeling for men (yes...and women) in uniform. (If I was single and dancing in a club near a Marine base......ahhhhh... anyway...where wuz I?)
Whatever. My best hugs and love to all of our boys (and girls!) who are over in that God-forsaken land doing OUR dirty work so that WE can sleep a little sounder at night. Every SINGLE ONE of them deserves a free-bee lap dance.
The sex was so good, the neighbors needed a cigarette!

Lara's right - it's no party with the terror alert back to high gear again.
I can only pray for those I know and do not know who are over there fighting right now - my brother is one of them, and I am proud of him.
I cannot judge anyone in their beliefs, but whether we agree with the war or not, i'm just trying keep my thoughts/prayers with those who represent our country, rather than get political about things when I talk to friends or family. No one except the govt really has all the facts about things.
Holly - so funny you said that - a customer of mine (who has since moved back to Canada) said the same thing - "what - are we going to ride in there on our horses and silly uniforms?" :-/
How cute
prayers & well wishes to all...
Jax

I am so against this war! I am very proud of this and state it openly. Last night as i was walking to work downtown i kept giving the peace sign to the protesters and there were alot of protesters out. This war is so unessessary and i don't trust President Bush's reasons for going to war. I think this country is becoming divided much like the the vietnam war divided people. Which i think is another negitivity of war! I love america but our government is abusing it's power. Peace to all and lots of respect and hope to the troops. Please come home safe!!
