Golf Season

Hey Everyone,
Just curious to know if any of you all in the Southeast were planning on traveling to the Myrtle Beach, SC area to work during golf season?

You know, I'm starting to consider a little jaunt around the south; New Orleans, Memphis, Louisville, Myrtle Beach. I could see some friends and make a few bucks. Of course, I intend to wind up in Dallas for the hockey playoffs.

I do hear Myrtle is a fun place to work and I've wanted to go there for some time.

I'm already there! Close enough anyway. But no, i won't be going to Myrtle beach.

I'm curious about Myrtle Beach. I've been there as a tourist a couple of times, and it didn't hit me as a big deal. Lots of golf courses -- kinda a "Redneck Riviera". ANYWAY.... now I'm hearing that Hooters has an airline just to ferry golfers from Atlanta to Myrtle Beach, and apparently there's a s--t load of strip clubs there. Is there something there I don't know about?

April to mid-may is prime time for golf season in Myrtle. The area is slammed with wealthy golfers from up north and other areas who come down to enjoy the weather and play on some of the finest golf courses. Also when the Masters hits Augusta many golfers who can't get hotels in the area stay up north in Columbia and slams the club i work in.

do you see lots of golfers in columbia? i have friends that work in pp there and greenville. do you find that april and may is great for yall as well. im always getting asked to go to the pp's there in s.c.

I actually work at the PP in columbia, however I've never actually worked during golf season before. I know that the weekend of the Masters is very busy since Augusta is roughly 45 min away from Columbia. Myrtle Beach is about 2 hours away from Columbia and since there are many clubs down there we don't get hit as hard as they do. However, I've heard from girls that the weekend of the Masters is one of the best to work of the year.
