    Default Beginning Dancer frights......

I am a full time student in Mpls,Mn and I virtually have no income. I have been wanting to become an exotic dancer for some time but I am very Nervous. I've never danced in a club before which is what I'm looking to do, I've only done bachelor parties. I'm wanting to find a female friend that would be interested in starting a dance career with me, that way I won't be alone and I think it will take some of the pressure off of my first time. I'm not scared and I know I could make good money...Just a little nervous. If there is anybody in my state with the same problem please message me. Also if anybody can give me tips on club dancing that would be great. I'd also like to start modeling and just really get my foot into the door of this Huge Industry. Any advice I can get would be great.

Why not go out on your own?

There are new girls starting at every club every week. You could meet like that, but I'd be hesitant to trust any dancer without really knowing her for awhile.

I think maybe you should go with a guy friend to a club you might want to work at. Talk to the dancers (and be sure to bring money to tip them.) You will get over your nervousness more that way, in my opinion.

We all started as newbies at one time!

yeah I'd agree with Emily about trying to befriend with a dancer on your first week. Just go there and see how u feel with your guy friend. I had overcome my fears and nervousness when I first went there alone. But I made it through okay and made some money hehe! I'm also a college student who needed extra money for this and that.

Talk to different dancers if u can. Get the feel of it and perhaps watch or buy a dance from a dancer to give u an idea what's the limitation when it comes to a lap dance. Anyway, Good luck

Alot of us start out on our own dancing...It is scarey and nerve racking to say the least when you start out.....
Almost every club I have worked at there is at least one or two dancers who seem to like to take new girls under thier wing...
As Emily and Hershey stated going and checking out the club before hand with a guy friend may really help. Talk to some of the girls, see if you come across any nice ones you click with...
The club I am at now, I went in with my husband just hanging out, met a sexy wonderful dancer, and said "I have to work with this girl"
I have been there ever since, and we are great friends.
Wish you all the Best !!!!!!!!!!!! Cyn

Well thanks a lot for the advice you guys I really appreciated all of the tips you gave me. I have decided to take the advice and I will be starting at this club tonight!! I am kind of nervous but my friend is coming along and I plan on peeping the scene and talking with some of the other dancers before I start. I am really confident that everything will go alright and I will let you guys know how it went. Wish me good luck!

Hey you guys! I went and danced all weekend at this club called the Juice Bar and I had a really good time. At first I was really nervous but once I got on stage I let go of all my fears and danced my ass off! I made some pretty good money and I plan on going back this weekend. Thanks for all of the support that you guys gave me, I really appreciated it. It looks like I've started my dance career off on the right foot and I met some very beautiful, sweet young ladies there as well Thanks you guys!

Congratulations! I'm so glad it worked out well for you!

I began dancing in Minneapolis as well, and worked there for about 4 years (1998-2002). I also really enjoyed the midwest scene.

Best of luck and many wishes for continued success!

    Big Hugs,
    megan
