    Default Being supportive

I'm really impressed with the amount of support that the people on this site can offer.I'm not a dancer{as yet} but I worked as a waitress for six months at the Vu.I saw both sides of treatment. The owners of that place couldn't care less about the employees or the dancers.I once watched one of the girls get on stage almost hysterical because of a customer in the audience who had raped her.The manager was going to charge her sixteen min. if she didn't{$128}.
It's nice to read posts that are helpful and insightful,as well as being entertaining.I wish more of the girls that dance around here knew about the advice and help that's offered, then maybe they wouldn't be so backbiting to each other.Too many dancers are unhappy and don't have a place to express it.
Anyways,I am basically giving everyone props.Keep it real.

Yup, the growing Corporate Club presence in the exotic dancing industry is slowly but surely reducing dancers to interchangeable employees who have no different relationship and who receive no more consideration than your average factory worker. This "all business" club management style is a far cry from the "family" atmosphere of the neighborhood clubs of old, where the clubowner generally got to know the dancers, cared about what was going on in their lives etc. This "all business" style also affects the relationship between dancers in corporate clubs, resulting in intense competition and frequent cattyness, which is also a far cry from the "sisterhood" atmosphere of neighborhood club dressing rooms. It sucks, but it's here to stay. Every new anti-dance club ordinance requiring legal appeals to allow clubs to stay open and profitable, every state law concerning dancers being considered "employees" , etc. puts more pressure on the individually owned neighborhood clubs and gives the Corporate Clubs an advantage.
