I've read it and I thought it was great. I kind of wish that she would have gone into greater detail about the places that she worked though.
I was wondering how realistic dancers found this book.
Hi, my name is Sleepy and I'm powerless over strippers...
great book. lilly used to post on another forum before it went bad. she and i have conversed thru e-mail . it's definatley realistic and she was a dancer. you know how it varies from state to state and county to county. somethings may have changed since her book as they have all over the country.
As quoted by Luckyone:
I asked directions from a genie in a bottle of jim beam and she lied to me.
Methodus saved my life!

I thought it was pretty good, but I wanted it to be more about the stripping and the different clubs around the country, when in reality it was a memoir - and a good one. Her portrayal of the clubs seemed pretty damn realistic to me - though she either didn't pick up on the fact or neglected to mention the racist tones at Baby Doll's in Dallas.
It's always a good thing when an intelligent, literate woman is getting her perspective on the business out to the public.
Argh!!!... though she either didn't pick up on the fact or neglected to mention the racist tones at Baby Doll's in Dallas.
How could anybody miss that...while I enjoyed my time at BDD a couple of months ago that "racist" crap really pissed me off.![]()

Good book but not entirely true-to-life. Lily Burana attempted to portray herself as a prude stripper, despite the fact that she spent most of her days stripping at MBOT, which as we all know is very high mileage. Also she made reference to not having breast implants and if you look at her Playboy pictures from before she wrote the book, she most obviously does. Overall though, a good read.
"Are those real?"
"No, they're imaginary"
