Default Ever get SICK of it?

    Hey ladies,
I've been dancing for a year now on and off but lately I have just felt like it's not even worth it. I guess I'm just tired of dancing for now. I love dancing when I travel but when it comes to dancing here is PA, it SUCKS. What about you guys?

Where do you work when you are home? When you are away? Try cutting back your hours or take a break from it for awhile. Maybe you just need to find a better club.

I was working at Scarlett's in Allentown but I went home one night with a whopping $103 so I quit. I was taking it easy, 1-2 nights a week. When I am away, I go to different places. I've been to Guam, Chicago, Florida, and next I am going to San Diego..it seems like the longer I am away from it, the less I want to go back. ???

You left because of ONE $103 night? There are some parts of the country where that is considered good or at least all right. Maybe you just need time to relax and regroup, after all, even at only $20 per hour, that's much better than most of us would make outside of the industry. I'm not trying to tell you what to do (okay, maybe a little) but you are young and so pretty and I think that dancing could give you alot of opportunity you may not have otherwise.

I have a bad case of stripper burn out right now too!!!

My other half was away on business last week, so instead of sitting home alone I went into work EVERY NIGHT!!! For 7 days straight (plus the 5 days of the week before) So, I've worked 12 of the last 14 days!

Take some time off. I'm on day 3 of rest right now, and I'll go back in tomorrow. If you have fun at work, the money will come....but if you're not in the right mood, customers can sense it....and who wants to hang out with the cranky stripper??

LMAO that is exactly why I'm on day 5 myself. Figured I'd just start out fresh with the new week.

It is a must for dancers to take time off. And if you feel that burn out feeling coming, that is simply your body saying so. Vacations are something we don't normally get, so we have to make our own vacation time. R&R does wonders. When we go back to work we feel sooo refreshed, and ready to "rock and roll" again. I take many days off in the year. Pamela

Um, ya, and I guess it's been a little too obvious to one member of this forum, but they can kiss my Royal ass, LOL. Its nice to know we're not alone.

Its very, very easy to get sick of it. This is the hardest business I've been in, and I've had every kind of damned job there is. OK, I liked being a waiter less, that lasted about two weeks. When people give me shit I just have to tell them where they can stick it.

You have to take breaks and keep a life outside of it!

People who think being a DJ is all fun and games have no clue!!

I hope you had fun in Florida. I just started in a nice new club here--if it stays that way (we'll soon find out), and you want to come down and work, let me know. I always take very good care of the dancers I work with.

Well, it's not just one bad day at that club, there has been hardly any customers. Plus, the girls are rotten. I've tried to be nice to everyone but they get jealous and I am the #1 hustler, no matter where I go. I try hard and succeed. Hey, I am going to be in Florida for a photo shoot from the 8-10th of March. Any possibility you can give me some more info Djoser?

I think there is a huge burn-out epidemic right now sweeping across the country. The economy sucks! Attendance is down, $ is low and morale is bottoming out for many girls, me included. What I have chosen to do is take a break from dancing for a while and do something different. I look forward to dancing again when things get better. I just had to give myself a break from the frustration, I have trouble dealing w/ the disappointment of one too many crappy nights.

    Good luck!

We are opening Feb 19, so should be running well by then. I think Bike Week is just ending around the time you will be in Fla., but it may be going still--I will find out tonight. Check your PM, I will put the # of the club there shortly. I have high hopes for this place, Daytona really needs a cool club. If it doesn't work out, I'll be out of this town!!

That is great you are doing another shoot, keep that modeling career running! The more stuff you have going outside of dancing, the easier to fight the burn-out. I have been talking to Sacha about starting to do glamour stuff. She is doing photography here in addition to dancing, for Bike Week for a Dutch magazine called Foxy (not the same as the American mag).

I work with photographs a lot as an artist--it's a lot better than having someone stand sit, or lie in the same position for hours. I did look at your site a while back and liked the pictures, its nice that you have something in all categories.

The attitude prevalent among the dancers can make or break a club, and the experience someone cool like yourself has. Karma rules. You deserve better than having to put up with jealous bitches.

Hey, I just read your other thread, you have to talk to Sacha, because she may be going back around then, she doesn't dance over there, but writes for Dutch Penthouse, etc. She did dance there for a couple of years I think in Amsterdam, which is the party capital of the world. Anyway she'll be able to tell you about dancing in Holland, I think that is the only country she danced in.

She will be back in a little while I will mention it. Its about time she joined SW, anyways.

Nothing beats burn out like going to Europe! That is a great idea.
