    Default Whats good money

I work at a club now where I think I make good money. But I m always looking for new places in hopes that I will make more. Perhaps Im searching for money making potential that doesnt exisit. Does anyone REALLY make 2000 a night?(consistantly without regulars) The only way that I could see this happening would be if men are handing you 5's instead of ones...and the dances are more expensive than average, with a lower tip out. Even if you spent the ENTIRE night in a VIP lounge - this still does not equal 2000. I am interested in what you girls make on average and what you consider "good money" (without extras) I am especially interested in the girls from upscale showbars. I find that I make about the same per hour no matter what type of club i am in. Sure, I make more in a more upscale bar - because usually the shifts are longer.

I know of maybe 2 or 3 girls in the ENTIRE NATION who earn 2 g's semi-consistently...and these girls are ten plusses who work at Scores or VIP, and are virtual institutions at these places.
Most girls at very upscale show clubs earn $500-$1000/night consistently, with anything over $1000 being considered a"good" night. Certainly, I've had nights where I've earned well over $2000 - but these are rare and few in between. You can also earn in the vicinity of $1000/night by working in a high-volume, full-contact, nude club...of course, you mjst be willing to compromise.
In short, unless you are a feature dancer, $2000/night consistently is virtually unattainable by anyone, anywhere.

    $2000 a night
    i dont think thats doable
ive made a 1000 but thats working a double, having a big name feature in the club, and it's already packed to the hilt......

this business is VERY INCONSISTANT in the money you make......your not always going to be the flavor of the day...the trick is to cultivate regulars,....they are pretty much your mainstay in this business...

every girl is different in the amount of money they make.......some girls are better hustlers thatn others, you just have to find your style
    blessed be

I think it's important to take what Tina said on another thread to heart - it's more important to look at your weekly or monthly earnings than the big nights alone. That being said, I think that $2000 a week let alone night is really good money. That would be 4 $500 nights or 5 $400 ones which I think is pretty darn good.

2,000 a night!!! Wow! Now if maybe i had 20 regulars in at once and performed extras( that i don't think a dancer should do.) Not sure about that kind of money. I worked long and HARD for my regulars, good night $900, take home. And that is not every night. But i don't have $200 nights either. I would think (for me) it's not worth baring my body for 200 bucks.
The key is to build up a regular clientel. Keep intouch outside the club, via e-mail, or a toll free #. Make them feel special. And want to come back for more. If i did not have my regulars, i would make no where the money i do. I really count on repeat customers. And adding to the list all the time. Pamela

I wouldn't like it if I regularly made just $200 a night, but look at it this way, for a girl with no college education or other professional credentials, where else can she make that money? It would be pretty difficult for her to even make half of that at a regular job, she would need to be paid about $30 an hour, before taxes. So to many, $200 nights are perfectly acceptable. It all depends on your cost of living, where you are, and your alternatives.

So is it safe to assume that if you earn between 400 and 700 all the time in 5 hours, (sometimes more. rarely less) you probably wont find better anywhere else? Ive never made 1000 in a 5 hour shift, but rumors of 1000,2000 a night make me greedy!

I had my crappiest night every on Sunday: $180 for 4 hours. The club was dead, more girls than necessary, the guys were broke, and NOT ONE SINGLE girl went to VIP that night.

As pissy as I was, I realize that I still made $60/hour, and that 180 bucks paid for 3 utility bills. So, I took last night off to clear my mind, and will head in tonight and hopefully it will be better.

"Good" and "Bad" depends on the club you are at and how much a dance costs. When I was in San Fran, good nights were 8 or more (because DejaVu took 30% usually, so in other areas my take home would have been 9 or 10) Some of my bad nights there I paid out 60% and went home with $100!!! My mathematical average (because I'm a math geek and I keep track of stuff like this) was about 4 per shift.

In Phoenix, a "good night" is around 5 or 6. My "bad" nights are about 2. My average per shift is slightly less at $350.

Now, here is what I find interesting......I used to work 8 hour shifts in San Fran, but I only work 4 hour shifts in Phoenix....so I'm actually making more money per hour at Christies (a topless low contact $10 dance club) than I was at Hustler (a pastie, high contact $20/dance club)

So, even though I make about 200 or 300 less per week, I actually think I "make better money" in Phoenix than I did in SF.

    I agree with you Colettecall,
Lots of factors play into ones life. I myself with an education, and other jobs, would not personally dance for 200 per night. I need more for my lifestyle now. And when i stop dancing i will (hopefully) pick up with my degree, as i further my skills in Business.
You can safely assume i got used to making more than 200 any night. Anything below, and i would not be a dancer at this point. But i am 32, and will be moving on to my "real" job in a few. 1000 a night can be had, but thats alot of hustling, location, right club, many hours, and a regular customer base. That is what keeps me afloat...my repeat customers. Plus i tell alot of doctors (i work PT a t a hospital.) That i dance. And i am in a area with loads of engineers! helps alot. Not many college guys come my way. All this helped me build a great dancing job for me. For someone else it may not work. I have danced since i have been 21, off and on. More on than off. Now i seem to be on a "call basis" and go dance. Once i am there i have to put my hours and shift in..club rules. At one club anyway. Pamela~~~ PS i just stuck with it, and did my best to make it happen. It was not the easy road. But the pay got better with experience.

In Phoenix, since the dances are only $10, and so many people from all over the US are flocking there now, a slow night with a poor clientele and as many girls as customers will yield $50 or so AFTER tip outs most likely.

$200-$300 in Phoenix or Tucson from my experience no mater what club you work in is good. You have to sell LOTS of table dances there to makemoney and if you don't have a steady stream of fresh customers, $100 NET could be unattainable.

Granted clubs like Christie's have VIP areas but sooo many girls work there that it is hard to always be the chosen one by a man of means every day/night.

Good money is starting to be in the $200-$400 range in this business with a $500 night being a once in a while phenomenon.

Look at your weekly earnings more so than nightly. You could make payout and that's it one night or two, and then hit $400-$500 the next two. that's the nature of this business.

Any of you who have been lured to this business over the high earnings girls have made over the past 6-7 years will be disappointed. With new stricter contact laws in most cities and less expense acct customers as Melonie said recently 80% of dancers make less than $250 per night. And that means earning between 0 and $250.

Don't listen to what other dancers say. Just try out a variety of clubs, work FULL TIME, SAVE 30% of what you make a day and have something to show for your dancing.

Soon with all the anti dance club laws being passed, guys won't be buying dances AT ALL thanks to our conservative politicians in office and the religious right trying to force us dancers into more "respectable" work by taking away the contact from table dances.

Work a lot and SAVE your money. Don't get greedy.Be thankful for every night over $250 you have because 80 out of 100 dancers don't average that!

I REPEAT, 80 out of 100 dancers DON'T AVERAGE over $250 a night. I have danced for 15 years in over 20 states and see this business taking a major dive.

$ave your money and work as much as possible. I know TONS of BEAUTIFUL approach every customer and friendly girls who made $2500-$3500 a WEEK full time dancing who are barely making $1000 a week FULL TIME now.

Tina is absolutely correct based on my own observations of different clubs in different areas. As the poor economy sweeps across the country, in most areas typical dancer earnings are down to half of what they used to be 2 years ago. I also agree that $200-$250 a night after tipout is considered GOOD money in many clubs these days. Obviously there are exceptions i.e. clubs like SCORES, where average earnings can be 3 or 4 times this high, but at clubs like SCORES there's nothing at all 'average" about the dancers they're willing to hire and there's nothing at all "average" about customers who can afford to go there (and even so, the SCORES earnings potential 2 years ago was also much higher). There are also occasional clubs located in geographical pockets which have not been hit much by the economic downturn where typical dancer's earnings are still near what they were 2 years ago, but these are few and far between (and becoming fewer). And to top it all off more and more cities are passing restrictive dance club ordinances which severely limit what the dancers can legally offer the customers. In every city I have been to after a dance club ordinance was enacted, LEGAL dancer's earnings have fallen drastically.

PS These days even top shelf features don't average $1000 a night from dancing alone. Subtract travel and hotel expenses and featuring is hardly worth the trouble these days. This is the reason that so many of the features are now offering "private shows" with fans in hotel rooms (*wink*) for $500 to $1000 an hour or more when they are in town.
