Good luck.

Well, first of all, you've probably been told this a million times, but your face is a dead-ringer for Christy Turlington. Wanna trade?
Secondly, if your above stats are correct, you have a very strong possibility of making money as a dancer. However, I have to wonder why you aren't going for the option of working as a professional model? Those stats would indicate that you have the necessary build, and there is always lingerie, catalog, art, and fashion modeling to be done somewhere for good money.
You may want to even consider combining the two things. I know I would if I was blessed with that package. Maximize your earning potential!

Well, a LOT depends on the sort of club and how you "market" yourself. Customers are buying a fantasy trip, and with your height and looks, you'd look GREAT with something like a black-leather dominatrix look or statuesque model look. (F'instance, I do the "little catholic girls school look, cuz DUH.... I'm 5'4"). In SOME clubs, that look is going to earn you a zillion dollars, and in other clubs it will fall flat. Look for a club that has an upscale business man clientile. Avoid clubs that cater to the college crowd or to blue-collar customers.

Thanks Ill look into the black leather thing..
Is it harder to dance for blue collar customers then white collar ones?
Sorry about all the questions.. Im Very new to this![]()

Shan,
I agree: 1. go for dancing and 2. look for an upscale club.
Ive worked at both uber-trendy gentlemen's clubs and local "tittty" bars. I find that (usually) both the management and the customers treat you better at upscale clubs.
I don't think it's "harder" to dance for blue collar men as opposed to white collar men, but I do find it a bit different. For example, at a titty bar you might find lap dances that consist of a girl on all fours in front of a customer (on the floor) pokin her butt up in the air doin the booty shake and either spanking her ass herself or allowing the customer to do it.
Now, at an upscale gown club, that type of dance is (usually) prohibited because it 1. isn't what the upscale clientele wants to see and 2. isn't appropriate behavior for a "lady." (because most upscale clubs refer to you as "ladies" not strippers or dancers)
Granted, I've met my fair share of upscale jerk-offs too, who think a few hours in the champagne room means a trip to the hotel room later. There will be unclassy customers in every bar; but overall, I prefer to deal with these types of jerks instead of the young kids and gangbangers.

As I told another person on the this you cant just walk into an upscale club and dance. You need some experience. White collar or blue collar men is men sweetie. Money is money.
It's harder in an upscale club why men with that kind of money look their special. Because itis upscale you may not even make a penny cause of housefees, tipouts.
Dont think I'm being hard on you I'm 19. But I've known the game for a while and I speak of my experince. Some girls go into an upscale club and dont get hired and feel that they are not good enough. I know ask some the girls on the this. LOL. But I worked at two upscale club. It's hard. You have to be a great not good hustler.![]()

I took a look see at your pics and I dont think You have anything to worry about, just remember to have confidence in yourself and to show it when you walk!! I think if you show self confidence and know how to hustle you will do great!
Dignity is about showing self respect and having quiet self esteem
Go for it girl...you have what it takes![]()
Britney.....i second that!!!! Well said.

See in NYC there is different kinds of upscale all gown. If think best upscale club in NYC is Scores cause basically all the stars men and women go there. Clubs like that is very picky. Then there are upscale club with limited or no contact once in a while a celeb my pass by mostly white collar but some blue collar if they got the money for cover charge hahaha. My kind of club. Next the upscale club that have mostly blue collar men some white collar. Milage no contact to little contact. My kind of club as well. Last the clubs that suppose as upscale clubs that guys could come in they dont wear sneakers. Watch out for the clubs. Guys could act really check. Work at this kind of for 3 day couldn't take it anymore.
But as I said be for if you have no experience try to work a regular average club with no contact or very low. Just to get the hang of it then audition for a good upscale club in 2 weeks to a month. Also dont let any guy treat up like shit. Cause I 've seen guys in very high class upscale clubs treat girls like garage. Your the women in charge. Let them jerks know. And always get the money first before you do anything. Just in case the guys a jerk and dont want to follow the house rules you could dismiss him even before you do anything. Now I'm not saying take the guys money and run now. But dont let anyone disrespect you.![]()
I agree with some of the comments. First of all, You are "BEAUTiFULL" AND YOU WOULD MAKE A GREAT ENTERTAINER! GIRL!, just get the list of the best clubs in your area, and go for the best. and i'm talking about the high end clubs where you live. I'm not sure where you live. But just make sure you go in looking the bomb! that means walk through the door looking great when you audition.(Meaning street clothes) cuz some high end clubs wont let you in the door if your looking like you left the gym or running errands. just look good. full make-up( including lashes) and wear something hot! then make sure your nails, toes, hair, teeth are done. make sure your dress meets the clubs requirements. check that before you go to audition. Cuz all clubs have dress codes for their club. Then go in like you know what your doing. have that confidence that took you to the club in the first place. be pleasant to everyone but dont talk to much. smile and be happy! cuz your going to work and make lots of money. check out some of the girls already dancing that you like and copy their style until you get comfortable with your own. (cuz you'll pick up your own style once your dancing alot) Think Pameala Anderson for the look and style. i know your not blonde. just check for her style. clubs love that whole playboy look. However, try some modeling agencies in your area as well. (as one of the girls mentioned on here.) you would work as a model. Just work it! cuz you definitly have what it takes and more! sexyt
Hi ladies,
i think Shan needs to give us some input on her personality style, if she would like. That helps us better get a general idea if she is shy, out going, can dance, so on . I jumped into an upsacle club, because i did not know. I danced in my mirror all the time, was a bit shy.
But a guy friend said to go to this club because all the older guys with big bucks frequent the place. I went. And dressed to the hilt!! Nervous? OH gosh yes. But met with owners, managment, 2 dj's, any one who worked there. I got hired. I showed attitude, enthusiasm, and wanting. If i got the boot, so what, i move on to another club. But first ask why i got fired? (learn by my mistakes.) I think i was pretty much an introvert the first night, but still working. Second night, i knew what to expect! I banged the club with dancing! Felt out the place the first night.
I believe if a woman has the attitude, love for dancing, is not shy, and she looks nice, (she does not have to be beautiful.) The best feature about any one person is their MIND! Thats where it all starts and ends.
Attitude is a state of mind. And we just pick up from there and move on to the physical.

You certainly have the looks for the part Shan. The only thing that might be of some concern is that you're only 18.
I'm not neccesarily opposed to, but kind of worrysome about seeing girls under 21 dancing because they sometimes haven't had the experience, or enough experience of living on their own (and paying their own rent, food, etc.) and trying to make ends meet with a so-called "normal job" (or jobs!!). Because of that experience, a lot of us, male and female alike, appreciate the value of money and we eventually learn to manage it responsibly.
I've seen a lot of young girls get into dancing at 18-19 and despite bringing home good money, they spend it as fast as they make it, and often spend it on silly things like overly-expensive clothes, extravagant jewelry, and in the worst cases, drugs. Don't let yourself get sucked into these stereotypical pitfalls, because no matter what type of club you work at, you're likely to run into a co-worker who has. Learn from that co-worker's example by NOT following it.
Also in a lot of locales, it is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to be in an establishment where alcohol is sold. Despite this, it is sporadically enforced and club owners are known to let 18-20 yr. olds work in spite of it. There may be non-alcoholic clubs where you live, but due to the drinking age rules, often these clubs have a younger clientele (essp. college students who can't legally go the other clubs) who don't have as much income to spend.
Nonetheless, I do not wish to discourage you. And don't get too flustered if the first club you try isn't to your liking or if the money isn't what you had hoped for. Just try another club until you're at a place where you feel comfortable. Best wishes!!

Dr. that's not true. I'm 19 with two kids that I support alone, and opened to accounts( might not have anything in it) but I am very good when I manage money. I'm an accounting student. And some dancers at start at the age of 18. That's why they are so good at what they do.
Shan go for it.![]()
I love to dance. Even though it seems to take alot of energy. However..
The more I think about going into stripping The more I love the idea. Im a funny girl... love to laugh. Love people making me laugh
I admit I might be shy the first Day or so.. I think once i got the confidence and know how.. Ill just shake it, lol..
And yes Dr. I know I am young. Im not working to make spending money.. Im working because its a good means to a beginning. Im planning on saving enough to goto collage.
I know all to well about being responsible. This is the best job for the best hours.. I can work nights. Get paid good. and go back to work doing the thing i love doing.. Cept a little bare assed
But thanks for these good replys. You really helped me get my confidence going.

Hello Shan,
and Ladies;
IMHO I think u have the looks/shape/body/style/personality to be a Dancer. When I saw the 1st picture of u, I thought "Hellooooo J-Lo!" Your face has the J-Lo features = pretty brown long hair(*), brown 'sexy' eyes, red lips & very nice facial features!!
Best of luck to u on your career!!

(*) I do like women who have long hair, color is unimportant to me, as long as they can wear it with style & grace.
You look beautiful, and although it is true that give a ton of money to most 18 year olds and they won't spend it responsibly (although there are some exceptions), as they mature they will learn probably at the same rate as any one with a normal job. Teenagers are not known for being fiscally responsible whether they are working at burger king or as dancers.
I would think that you would do very well. The advice I give to all new dancers (even if they are as lovely as you) is to find a casual club (note: casual, not skanky) with low turnover to start in. It will be an easier working environment, the girls will be nicer and more apt to teach you, and the management will be easier on you. After a couple weeks or a couple months you may want to move if the money is not what you want.
Good Luck
